    Default Some more practice shots! (Added pics)

    Just some more practice with the new D40, and just figured I would share. Thanks for any advice or pointers!




















    Just learning how to use manual zoom.

    watch that super hard sunlight, it makes for icky photos.

    do you have photoshop? try running the photos through un-sharp mask, that would make them more chrispy.

    Thanks man! I have always wondered what to do about the really strong sunlight. Especially taking pictures of my red car during the day. It is hard to not make the red look pinkish.

    easy, dont do it. if you have to then just find a shaded area to put the car in and always remember to shoot with the sun toward your back.

    Ballin! Looks great mang! Did you change the settings for the fire picture? And how did you go about with the cell phone swirl picture?

    Thanks man! The fire and swirl pictures both were just a long shutter speed with a tripod. But I think on the fire pictures I had to use manual focus because it was so dark outside the auto focus wouldn't work.
