I recently bought a Nikon D80 DSLR 2 months ago. I tried to take good pix with it, but didnt turn out too well. Anyone down to help a brotha out? maybe go on a photo shoot so i can learn to be creative with it. I was about to purchause a D300 and a Nikkor 70-200mm 2.8, but i held off because i wanted to be pretty good with the D80 first. here are my list:

    *D80
    *Nikon SB800 speedlight
    *Nikkor 50mm 1.8
    *Nikkor 85mm 1.8
    *Sigma 28-70mm 2.8
    *Epson R1800 photo printer

*Just finished building my core 2 quad computer last night. Abit IP35 pro motherboard, OCZ 2 gig memory, 400gb sata hard drive, and geforce nx8600gts video card. monitor is calibrated with a Spyder monitor calibration tool. Has enough power to handle photoshop CS3 extended.

Memisis, I know you are pretty creative.

what problems were you having with your photos?
what mode were you shooting with (manual, auto, aperture priority, etc)?
what was your goal with your photos and what were you happy with and unhappy with about the results?
