Thread: What's the best/easiest way to put a border and name on a picture?

    Default What's the best/easiest way to put a border and name on a picture?

    I want a black frame and my name on my pictures.What program is best to use or is there an online host that can do it?

    I use photoshop.

    Photoshop...after you're done editing you press ctrl+A to select all

    Edit>stroke

    then tell it how big of a border you want..usually about 10-15-20 px is good enough and make sure you change it to black.

    10-20??? thats huge, you must still have your setting on center, If you click inside you can get a real size on your border.

    Is there any other way to go around having photoshop?
    I try not to download anything onto my computer.

    yeah I have it set on center..works fine lol 5-10 on each side of the pic. You might be able to find a way around ps i just use that way. repped all

    Yeah the problem with that is that you are only seeing half of the stroke. The other half is outside of the viewable area. Hence why the person above you suggested to put it on "inside" rather than "Center".

    Instead of half-assing it like you have in the past (which "works") you should learn the right way to do it.

    he wanted to know the right way to do it and was advised how. Thats the point of learning, right?

    Its fine to do it however you choose and true, it may work for you.

    Why not just take the extra .1 second and click the box?

    Actually, a more correct way would be to increase the canvas size and then paint the new area around the picture black/white.

    But hey, do whatever you want, honestly. Its not that big of a deal.
