My brother's mother-in-law is a County Commissioner there. Her whole family is from Statesboro. Both my brother and sis-in-law graduated from GSU. Statesboro is a fun little town when school is in session.

So your dad knows Jan? Small world. I've known Jan now going on almost 20 yrs. My nephew goes down and stays with them quite often. They are great people. What's your dad's name so I can mention it to her next time I see her?

Wow- I bet you know some of my family in Statesboro. They make sugar cane syrup every year during Thanksgiving at their Farm and the whole town comes by.

    Their last name is Freeman.

They have the only operating antique grist mill in Georgia and make their own flour & stuff.
They have a 1 cylinder Continental diesel engine that weighs several tons that powers it all. You can hear the compression wave over a mile away when its running.

Sometimes they hook a train whistle up to it and you can hear it over 5 miles away.

They also just rebuilt an old steampowered tractor from 1917. He collects old steam powered stuff and rebuilds it and collects old tractros and rebuilds them too.

Everybody down there knows my family!
