    Default Need Camera Recommendations

Thinking about taking a digital camera with me on my trip to JDM land. Should be of at least a decent quality and durable. Here's a list of general specs that I'm looking for.

Budget Friendly - Nothing too expensive please.
Durable - It's going to be on the road with me so it needs to be tough.
Decent Quality - At least something decent. Nothing special though.
Accepts SD Memory Card - I got a buddy who's hooking me up with a 4GB card.
Accepts Batteries - Not really a requirement, but it's hard to charge a camera while moving.

All recommendations are appreciated since I'm not sure what I should be looking for. Thanks in advance!

Preferrable $400 or less. Again, not needing anything super fancy with special lenses and flashes. I'm not shooting for National Geographic. (^_^)

Why not get it there? Should be cheaper.

powershot a-series are very great and versitile cameras. I have a Nikon DSLR, but a Canon a640 and will only have a canon when it comes to point and shoot

That Canon looks complicated as hell. I wouldn't know how to use half of the sh*t on it. I bet it takes nice pictures though. lol
