I'm a M.E. major at GT and I looked at the prices in our book store (Barnes and Nobles) is charging

-Numerical Methods for Engineers $137.50
-The Mechanical Design Process $105.00
-An Introduction to Dynamics $74.00
-The Science and Design of Engineering Materials $153.15

Damn, these fuckers should know that we dont make money until after we get our damn degrees!!!!


Thank god for half.com and international (paperback) editions.

you think thats fucked up. i once paid $164 for a calc book that was supposed to last for calc 1 and 2. the next semester gsu went to a diff calc book (wouldnt buy mine back) and i paid another $175 for the privilage.

Just be well prepared, because I transfered there after receiving a degree (B.S. in Mathematics) and I was like what the fuck???? So when you get there make sure your on point!!! Or you will get "weeded out"!

I remember that shit from when I was ME, ironically all of my Inta books are cheaper at Engineers than online. I just end up having to get 3 or 4 per class, I'm hoping my book bill will be under 250 for this semester.

don't get me started on what a scam THAT is! they know you're going have to buy the book to pass the class so they(publisher) can charge whatever they want. what are you going to do? not buy it and fail the class? not likely

^^^yeah, and some professors are extra jew and require u to have the "latest edition" where others will let u use an older book. i mean shit, it's not like they change anything important, just rewrite/reword a sentence here or there. especially when it comes to the technical courses, i mean how many different ways can 2 + 2 = 4 be written right?

What I meant when I said "on point" was you got to come there focus and stay focus! I wasnt focus when I transferred, so I paid catch up for half of the semester. Promise you, I will never do that again! Dont get me wrong, I passed all of my classes, but rather buss'n my butt to get A's, I was doing that to get B's or keep C's LOL.
