When I went to Hawaii a month ago a friend of mine introduced me to Geocaching. I thought it was a very interesting Idea and figured I would start participating in it back at home. SO today I spent a few hours looking into the sites, locations and the tools needed to have a fun getaway.

For those out there that some know what geocaching is, crudely it is taking GPS coordinates and finding a hidden box and leaving your info and then putting it back where you found it. sounds simple but its not always.

So i figured I would Start a thread for ppl to figure out what is around their area and possibly to introduce ppl to something new to do on the weekends!

One of the many sites out there is www.geocaching.com. You can reg for free and find "sites" near your area.


for the tools needed to start your search you can check out www.garmin.com or other GPS manufactures for your tracking needs!
