I got the RC1 iso sitting on my desktop right now. I've been too lazy to burn it to DVD and try it out.

Yeah I had this on Beta like 6 mos ago. Ran it on my lappy for ahh about a week got tired of it. Vista is an extreme resource hog and until they get some major shit fixed it isn't going to grace the desktop of any of my machines.

It sure do boss. There is a thing where you stack all windows at an angle and it looks 3d but I can't get a capture of it. Of course they moved everthing around so you have try and find stuff all over again.

Yep I used to love WB but it slowed my system down too much. I like Litestep it pretty pimp and its fast.

the first beta and even up to Beta2 for the public were pretty buggy RC1 seems to be much more stable for now but I took it off and went back to XP pro with litestep as the shell (beta 2 that is), I was hoping RC1 was gong to be the answer. I'll play with this for a bit then prob go back. The only thing its does not do or they haven't got a hadle on is syncing with a PDA this last one (RC1) saw my Ipaq for like 20 mins, I got all pumped and then poof no can see, arghh but it is a "beta"

None of that stuff impressed me. I ran Vista for awhile on my 64-bit machine with 1gig of RAM and I still prefer XP at the moment. The only thing Vista offers is a glorified interface and some walk-through for dumbass computer users.

How's the desktop working out for you? Windows XP isn't bad but it's a memory hog. I was hoping that Vista would cure that.

2 funny because my tower is so that. It's got the plexi side, led fans, lite piping all around all the cables. Its more entertaining looking at the tower.
I have to admit I like the eye candy.

right now I'm running it on a AMD 3300+ processor w 1 gig ram. it was supposed to start up faster and shutdown faster but I don't see it on my system. as for the mem issue I've not even looked at it. I'm just trying to get used to the new interface right now a figure things out just really playin around.

Honestly if Mac start to sell just the OS X I'd be tempted to try because I used to do cross platform support for an add company and I did a lot of stuff on Os the Os 8 and 9 right when it came out. I liked the mac OS

lol look like everything Mac OS and Linux have been doing for a while... i'm sure it will be nice after SP1; they always work best then. Do they have an option to run the old school XP or 2000 setup? I'm sure i will be running that when i get it... all that visual BS is only good for people who look at their desktops and like to waste memory on lame tools

looks old school.. stuff i was using several years ago. hopefully u can cut all the BS out.. because, honestly its stupid. I mean really, an analog clock on ur desktop.. why? The widgets are cool, and have lots of potential.. we shall see.
