    I want to know if its illegal to edit packets on a online game like a mmorpg to make like godly items and all? I'm thinking most likly it is. I'm not sure though anyone know?

    Yes it is illegal to do so speically if it a high profile thing like WoW...you would also prolly get your account deleted for that also...

    aw oh well. it's not WoW its a game called maple story =P if they deleted my account on maple story I wouldnt care either because I can hack my way back up to the high lvls again.

    hacking to me is alot better than playing legit. why spend months trying to get to a lvl in a week? this is imo its better than playing legit. i dont plan to eidit packets either

    Editing packets isn't illegal... It's just frowned upon by the online gaming community as a whole. I played Maple Story for like I donno a day or 2 maybe. It got boring as shit and I have moved on to bigger and better things like... Shot-Online Golf MMORPG

    OK then so it's not illegal or is it? Cause I don't want to get arrested for doing something like that on a damn free online game.

    I think unless you are selling the free online game you should be fine...since it is free the source code for it is prolly open anyway so you are good...
