How is that different than what I just said? You sign up, You recite the pledge.Originally Posted by Hulud
Trust me when I say this, People that go into JROTC don't always know whats going to happen. Like 8th graders coming from middle school have no idea what JROTC is besides the fact it has to do with the Military.Originally Posted by admin
And also people have thrown away a years worth of class because they couldn't leave. At the end of the 2nd day of school they make all JROTC changes final. And they still recite the pledge.
But whether you want to or not you're still forced. Just because you want to doesn't mean the rule goes away. So just in case one day you change your mind about JROTC, you still have to recite it.
I've seen all three happen, and it happens all the time.
I'm not going to ask anyone to say the Pledge. but at least stand up and show some damn respect.![]()
you said, you join, you recite the pledgeOriginally Posted by Lord Canti

white24d, do more research before making statements like -
I am not saying that you have to stand and say the pledge. I am saying that you should stand. You not standing makes you look like a dick. This country is free because of that flag and standing up in what you beleive in. Dont worry about it, you sound like a muslim or something.
Makes you sound really ignorant. Pledging or not pledging to flag doesn't make you more or less of a Citizen. And what is the statement you sound like a muslim or something means.Do more research before making comments

JROTC is just another class. The only difference is that we wear uniforms. We have normal classes like World Geography, Avaition, World History, Leadership, Aerospace Science, Principles of Management, American History, Technology Awareness, and Mechanics. And it runs a normal day just like any other class, the cadets are also students at school (wheither it may be private or public), and the instructers are normal teachers. Everything relating to the military is done AFTER-school.Originally Posted by Hulud
and saying that JROTC is FUNDED is hilarious. We don't get any money from the branchs. All the money is being sent towards the war. We get our books, supplies, and equipment from the school services. The only thing we get from the military are our uniforms. If we want to do something outside of school we have to raise money ourselves.
