    Default Torn miniscus

    Well I went to the Orthopaedic today after 3-4 months of my knee hurting.. and he thinks i might have torn my miniscus.. meaning surgury... I have an MRI schedualed for Friday.. anyone delt with this before?

    i tore my acl back in high school and it took out a bit of the miniscus with it. if you've been living with it for half a year then it cant be nearly as bad as mine was, i was having a hard time walking period. they'll probably do orthescopic surgury and get you put back together lickity split. figure your recovery time to be about 3months depending on how serious the damage is and how seriuos you are about getting better. took me about a year to get back to 100% but i was water skiing at 4months. good luck with it.

    it hurts like shit and i can barley put weight on it.. but compaired to broken ribs and pelvis.. its not that bad

    i tore my pcl couple of years ago. sat out the rest of the baseball season and then the next season i wasn't 100% yet XD. Hopefully everything goes well for you. good luck

    kid at work had it and tore his...he used to be a punter at brookwood but tore it his junior year or something but he was walking on it without crutches 2 weeks after surgery and was back to work in 2 months

    you should be aight...on a fucked up note though. my knee started hurting like hell today too so i gotta get mine checked out. hope it aint this shit though

    my dad tore his about three years ago, everything went fine he was walking again
    about a month later.
    but he didnt really take it easy even though the doc told him to and he tore it again
    and now it hurt him pretty bad every now and then.
    hopefully you will take the docs advise and give it time,
    but goosd luck with everything.

    I had a torn miniscus also, within 7 weeks I was back on the basketball court playing, but at like 50%. 9 weeks I was 80% and around 12 weeks, I was 100%, but building the strength back in my leg.

    i have an MRI on thursday...i was at lacrosse practice and hyper extended my knee...the doctor put my in a knee brace and said he thinks i tore my acl and my miniscus...i can walk fine now..they took fluid from my knee....(this was a week ago and i hurt my self...2-3 weeks ago) but there was blood in my knee...and my knee is still swollen....so i know what your going through.

    After the MRI we found it was partially torn.. he doesnt wanna do surgury just yet.. but im doing P.T. on it to try and help it heal... it hurt today
