Default Do you think you can worship God without going to Church?

I personally believe that you do not have to attend church to worship God. You can do it in your house or hell even on the toilet if you want to!

Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.–Matt. 18:20

The prophet Daniel worshipped the Creator in the midst of Babylon, by himself, at his window.

you don't HAVE to go to church to worship God, you can do that anywhere. Church happens to be one of the places that I worship him at.

I personally do a lot of it while a police officer is behind me with his lights on.

LOL at justin.. same as you always have been.. hahah

    sniper, i do that too!!!

back to the post, yes, you can worship God anywhere you want, i havent been to church on sunday morning in a while, but i do try to make it to 7:22 as much as i can, i get a great message from there. I was raised in church, saved early, but dont believe you have to be in church to glorify God, and like justin said, if you do, you are there for the total wrong reasons....

Worship was never defined as being at church, so yeah I think you can worship wherever you are... Worship is just you praising God (through singing, driving, talking to people, talking to Him, reading the bible... and all sorts of other ways...) That's just my 2 cents.

If anyone is looking for a place to worship outside of Church say on tuesday nights... Holy Rollerz Christian Car Club meets every tuesday night at 6 pm around barrett for dinner and a time to hang out and talk cars... So if you are interested, then either check out the web site (www.holyrollerz.org) or e-mail or PM me. Thanks.

its all good. I am not boosting the car club, as it is only a tool for people to worship. I just know that God want's people to know about it. Most people that are seeking a meaning in life want something to belong to. I know that I was looking all over the place and then God randomly showed me holyrollerz... I fell upon the club and it has been an awesome tool that God has used to bring me closer to Him and to give me a better life. So I have to let any and everyone know about it. Thanks for posting though. I love the religion forum cause it is a place to express your opinion. Thank you all.

thats the problem with organized religion, people thinking that they are going to find something and want to be a part of it

i will be 24 years old on june 23rd.. before drew (who has a backround of going every sunday while growing up) i had never in my life been to church.. well i went once to a funeral.. but it was in spanish so it doesnt really count.. however i always held my belief in god.. my mom was a single parent raising two girls.. she just didnt feel like if we didnt go we were bad people.. so i have grown up still believing just never actually being in a church.. kinda strange yes.. however i find when we do attend services.. i am almost to the point of tears sometimes.. its nice that drew is so understanding and he is teaching me so much more than i ever could have imagined.. im still sooo naive about the bible though.. honestly i did not even know what easter was.. but i have always felt that even though you may not know all the facts you can still believe!! anywhere and everywhere you want!!

I used to attention church every sunday and go to sunday classes and participate in the recreational family events at church... and now that I have my own mind and will... I don't go every sunday, which goes against the whole Catholic deal.

I've been to church with some of my catholic friends (a few filipinos and one Polish gal... one was my gf at the time).

Catholic services emphasize the 'religion' and ceremony part of faith/belief than most other services I have been to. Heavy on the hierarchy and the rules (which is probably to be expected from a religion that has a recognized world leader). It wasn't really my cup of tea. I can't really jive with a religion that mandates me to pay deference to any woman/man just because of the position they were given. There are other things which I am critical of, but I dont' want to turn this into a bash session. Long story short... i can identify with you, xaznstylegrlx.

    Ever been to 722?
