From tuscany villas to austrian castles to downtown modern industrial lofts i'm in love with buildings....but they all must have a place to play with cars and maybe even a place to sleep and eat
My pick for a dream house of the year, now 2nd year running, is the Marietta Street Fire Station... 5,000+ sq. feet with a 2 story entrance/"foyer" for fabrication and place to play with cars. Location is directly behind Ga. Tech and convenient to everywhere downtown....may have to reinforce the roof before putting up a fullsize courtyard and patio area :-)
$1.3 million for it including the buildings on either side of it and a gravel lot. Tax records show the firestation and the land it sits on appraised for $110,000.![]()
