    Default Built a new computer

    Abit KN8 Ultra motherboard
    Athlon 64 3500+ Processor
    2 GB Corsair DDR Ram
    Radeon X800GTO by Sapphire
    only one dvd drive for now
    Its in an aspire case, 5 cooling fans total of now

    All i have to do now is find get an audio source to play my music, i have a surround sound system ill hook up once i move back home, but now im rocking the cheapy headphones

    i have the hda digital mystique 7.1 sound card. it rocks my socks. has two digital outputs including an optical. 100 bucks and has the sound quality of much more expensive cards.

    yea i have all the connections for a 7.1 sound card but i dont know what kind of connections are needed to use them, a simple RCA jack seems like it wouldnt work, but maybe you can tell me what kind of jack would work

    Also i only spent around 650 bucks for everything

    man you just set your self up for an upgrade in like 9 months with vista coming out.. i was rocking a 3000+ like 2years ago

    hope you have some sort of fan controller for all the fans or it's going to be hella loud if they are on full power, nice setup

    FYI: i have a X-Fi 7.1 sound card and Logitech Z-5500 surround, and let me tell you how great and inexpensive that setup is.. i love it!
