Christians obviously have a reason to. They believe that Christ rose from the dead.
But what about other religions/atheists? Many go out to lunch/dinner, or observe it as a holiday. Why? What are you recognizing then? Is it a belief that the Easter bunny is real and will bring you eggs (should it be an Easter chicken?)? After all, you can't see the Easter bunny, so that would require father in the unobserved....

Disclaimer: I am saying this in humor, not to rile anyone up.... :p
well we do live in a christian society, its kinda hard not to observe in some form or fashion... it'd be like me telling my Boss... I'M SORRY I DON'T WANT GOOD FRIDAY OFF I DON'T BELIVE IN ALL OF THIS SHIT Not going to happen.

When i have children i'm sure we will do the easter bunny thing as well... ya kinda of a weak holiday, but i will never rob my children of their imagination. I know christians who straight up tell there children there is no Easter Bunny/Santa Claus b/c they want them to know the religious aspect of the holidays.... i'm sorry but thats just wrong in my eyes.

Interesting.... LOL So you don't believe in the holidays but still want the days off.... LOL ... isn't it kind of "weird"?

It also only seems to happen with Christian Holidays, i.e. I don't see people fighting to take Yom Kippur off, but oh they want their Christmas off !! Why not create a caracter for Yom Kippur too, so that you can have it off too? i.e. the Kippur Chocolate Egg Bunny or something? Or Santa Kippur? lol.

BTW you know that some companies have the "option" for you to take it off, i.e. they give you the option to take an off day on Good Friday, or you can apply it towards another holiday (Rosh Hashannah, Yom Kippur), or you can use it as an extra vacation day if you are not religious at all.....

How is that wrong? It is like telling children that 4th of July is Fireworks and BBQ day instead of explaining the real reason behind the observance of it, Independece Day.
I got free clear tails with my ride.....
