^ hold on i never attacked anyone, i didn't say anything and kept my tongue to myself. i'm not angry, i said i find it FUNNY. its has nothing to do the intentions of others, but the point of the statement.

did it make us feel more comfortable that he goes to church every sunday and prays? umm no actually it made me feel uncomfortable b/c now my innocent lunch is now spent watching what i say so i don't have to entertain another comment like.

did it help the feeling ill him saying this? again no.

if i stated, "sorry i'm not religious" i would be opening up myself to more of the discussion i'm trying to stay out of. its the point of the comments such as these... see you are christian so you think nothing but wow he is spreading the word of his good lord or being polite... i'm sitting here thinking, OK? can i have my diet coke now. i'm not religious yet he wouldn't know that b/c he doesn't know me he merely assumes i am by dropping such comments like they mean something to me.

and if you said i should smoke i would tell you to fuck off... i've actually never smoked a cigarette in my life if i'm going to kill my self it would be on something more enjoyable then cancer

    Let the dissecting begin.... LOL

Just because you did not say it does not mean that you THOUGHT of it. Hate is often not impulsive. It is an action due to one's own formulated thought, opinion and judgement. The simple reason you thought about it and felt the need to even post an entire thread about it, implies that it DID and DOES bother you. However, I did not see ANY other threads of you going off on people offering you drugs, sex (LOL.. I wonder..), drinks etc. But somehow, someone.. a RELIGIOUS person offers you maybe "compassion", then suddenly you feel the need to "shut him down". That is what I do not understand.

But your feeling uncomfortable is ON YOU, and not him. Simply saying you are not religious, sorry, is the 'civilized' thing to say. Now if he went on like "oh really? Why not? I want to save you", then by all means you should tell him to fuck off. However, he offered a comment, and left it at that. You making yourself feel uncomfortable has nothing to do with him, as he has no idea that he is even the cause of it.

Does it matter? Do you also say "No, thanks !!!" when people say "Bless you!" when you sneeze?

That is unless you YOURSELF want to add fuel to the fire. If he started going off then by all means, I would tell him "I said I am not religious, and do not want to discuss this." End of story. IF you go on by citing Satanic Rites instead then it would be a discussion and flame war that you yourself would partly be the cause of.

Actually I was not even thinking remotely that.. and I am maybe not even close to your "idea" of a Christian. Spread the word? LOL.

What I actually think is that he was being compassionate. Was it a bit suggestive maybe? Absolutely. But it was not meant to offend you.

Example. If I said that my throat is sore, and someone said to me "what I do is take the root of eggplant, blend it with froglegs and drink it", will I get offended because I do not believe in "earthly remedies?". No. I would just have the attitude of "glad it works for you".

Of course not. He knows shit about you. No one knows shit about you. Yet we assume every day. By your standards, in order NOT to offend you, his order should be like this:

Hi sir, are you a drinker? (how DARE he ask you for a cocktail if you are not !), are you a vegetarian (how DARE he assume I eat meat?), are you a diabetic? (How DARE he offers me coke? Does he assume everyone is healthy?), Are you on atkins? (how DARE he suggest I have fries with that?? Does he assume everyone eats their starches?)

    etc etc...

Point taken !! But would you tell me to FUCK OFF if I have never met you and OFFERED you a Cigarette? THAT is my point.

For example, There is a difference in saying "I'll pray for you" (Offering prayer), versus telling you "YOU should pray". Totally different, yet you obviously will take offense to both.
I got free clear tails with my ride.....
