    Default someone good with jewish culture....

    Ok, so i have this test in a religion class of mine, and on these study guides that my teacher gave me their are some terms that i have no idea about.

    the term "El" and "Judah", now if im not mistaken i think judah was an original name of a town but i am not sure... some one please help!!

    Judah is a tribe of Hebrews. 12 major tribes. Jesus came out of it. "Lion of the Tribe of Judah"

    Judah was one of the twelve sons of Jacob. Hence the name of one the tribes of Israel. It is also the name of an area of Isreal later in Scripture when there were two reigning powers. Jesus is of the tribe of Judah. He is called the "lion of the tribe of Judah".
    So I guess it depends on the context of the question.
