Default Anyone has a dual layer dvd burner

I download a software off the web and it turns out to be an 8 gig..I don't want to buy a dual layer dvd burner just for 1 software (alpine dvd navigation). The main reason why because not even sure if it will work with the navigation that I bought off ebay...Bought the unit cheap since it doesn't come with the DVD...The dvd itself costs 300 from alpine.

    Any help would be appreciated.

i have it but i use the dino version b/c its too danm expensive.... i can get 4.7gb dvd's for about $.24 a disk. can't see myself spending over a buck something for the dual layer. most movies don't even need a compression. ones that do are usually very minimal(<20%)...
