Default OMG! Never buy Sony extended warranty!

I have a client laptop that has a 1 year sony warranty, but I purchased a 2 year extended warranty for the laptop.

The hard drive crashed on Monday.

I had to send in proof on Monday for my extended warranty. The said call back within 1-3 days.

I call back 2 days later.

I go through 2 different numbers and 2 different "Sony supporting" companies.

Finally get my information that I need. Then I have to call a 3rd company who does the repairs, after that. I am transferred back to the one of the previous numbers I called to finish the process!

And now I have a tech coming out in 3 DAMN DAYS TO FIX THE LAPTOP!!

So if you have a critical use laptop, like I have, do not purchase a Sony laptop. 5 days turnaround if I am lucky to get a tech out here to fix me bad hard drive problem.

Im glad I went out and bought a new drive and replaced it and got the client up and running in 4 hours. They would have been severely pissed with the money they spent on the laptop to wait a week for the job to get completed.

I'll never buy a brand new sony laptop ever again!!! For Real.

Could you not just locate a sony authorized repair place in the phone book. I had a stinkpad with a fried motherboard i fried, called a place up just to have it looked at and they were like.."did you know this is still under warranty?" ohh k...so within a few days they had the parts and back to me on a 2 year old laptop with a 3 year warranty i paid $800 for...damn thing was over $7k new...lol gotta love those old 765D's. lol.
