I don't go to KSU, but on the classes thing... I had one quarter when I had classes 4 or 5 hours a day, only on M-W-F... I *thought* that I was going to have a kick-ass time with 2 days off during the week... but I ended up doing more studying and homework on Tuesday and Thursday than MWF.
My favorite schedule was where I had four classes in a row 8AM-12PM. Getting up at 7:45 sucked a bit, but getting DONE at noon on friday made it all worth it! I could meet friends for lunch, or go goof off in the arcade/pool/hall/gym for the rest of the afternoon or hang out in my friends' classes with them.
