    Default ipod help

    ok so my buddy sold me his ipod shuffle, i dont have any of the software or anyhting, i have the update installer from ipod, but the problem i am having is that the ipod was configured to work with his itunes, and now with mine, it will load songs, just wont play them, cause apple is gay lol. so how can i get it re-configured to work with my itunes

    what format are your songs in? im pretty sure the shuffle plays mp3's right?

    you have to do it through Itunes, which that isnt the problem

    i can get songs on there

    but the ipod i guess has a feature that it "marries" it self with the itunes you first use on it, thus i guess like a security feature, or something. anyways i need this reset so i can use it on mine.

    you using windows? try using winamp with your Ipod instead. winamp has a plugin you can download from their site so you can use your Ipod with it. you can download it here:

    winamp ipod plugin

    the main reason i like it is because winamp also allows you to copy songs FROM your ipod onto your computer, something that itunes doesn't allow you to do. i use my ipod at work and home, so if i get a song at the job and load it up, i can put it on my home computer from the ipod with winamp. and at least if my computer was to crash, i could just transfer everything back from the ipod with no problems...
