you r right i gets very expensive i started small but eventually will go full blown reef. here is what i got on order. the royal gramma will be here tomorrow and the goby and shrimp pair should be here in 2 weeks. then thats its for fishes its pushing the bioload a bit but i do 20 % water changes a week.

its isnt a bitch to clean but it takes alot of patience. theres is alot to learn. i have to make sure your amonia nitrates nitrites ph etc.. are all in check at all times. same thing with the salinity and the temp. it only takes me 30 min of maintenance once a week and thats cleaning everything. changing 20 % of the water. its a really rewarding hobby. everyone that comes to my house wants to see the tank. theres also a 55 g in the house but its my bro in laws.

the 125 gallon tank is fresh or marine...you'll need to find out cause freshwater and marine tanks differ in the type of silicone they put in the corners...saltwater corrodes the type used in freshwater tanks...just a little fyi so you didn't have a saltwater flood...

Thats sweet, I just got a tank from my stepmother, full step up, with coral, but no fish. I am so looking forward to setting it up this weekend. Hopefully it'll look half as good as some of yours do by the end of summer.
