Do you use gas or electric? Do you have a rate locked in? Are you on a budget?

Gas went up from like 0.778 per therm to like 1.180 per therm... I would say about 30-40%. My last bill was about 60-70, where it should be around 45-50. So I don't think the increase will be THAT drastic. Then again, last year I was new to "gas" and just heated up the house at will... This year I know better... LOL

The highest bill I got last year was around $ 240. That was during the January deep freeze ice storm. After that it went down. If it keeps under $ 300 this year I will be happy.

heating bills..fuck them..My shit was $100 bucks last month, and that because I barely used. I bought 3 electric heaters. They keep m house somewhat warm.

Wait until Jan/Feb then you will cry about your heating bill. Last year my shit was $250 a month every month. Jan-Feb-March. Then it dropped back to $30 bucks.

Im working on converting my gas fireplace to a real fireplace. I will be set then fo so.

probably cause my shit ends up heating the upstairs..and then it comes down. An I've already tried messing with the winter/summer switch already.

Damn my house is two-story and my insulation could be better.

My frugal self needs to find an efficient way to heat the house w/o burning it down!

I'm all gas too, but I have 2 units. The top floors where the bedrooms are is a/c heating and cooling. Downstairs is all gas heating, water heater etc.

$ 250 sounded about right for last year. I believe my bills were like 189 212 and 289 respectably, until it dropped back to 100 or so...

U can never get a break.. Summer is AC cost and winter is heating cost..

    Damn.. ;(

I'm running on full electric, I hate gas, my bill is around 50-75 a month, but thats because I always keep it on 70 degrees, and hardly at my crib because I'm always working.
