Ksu is a good school period beleive it or not. The Coles Business school is respected and is moderately easy to get into.
Getting accepted to Kennesaw isn't hard but getting into the business school is a little harder.
Med school youd want to transfer somewhere for the higher classes.
Tuition is pretty cheap, free if you have hope of course.
University Village is expensive but it was the nicest college dorm ever (your own bed and bathroom). I lived there for a year.
I got a 1440 on Sats and had a 3.0 flat in high school. I think the minimum is 990(?) on sat , not sure on act and whatever in high school.
Cool, so Hope is free.
Now say i wanna do like dual, and work, do they let you work on campus? And how much for the dorms and meal tickets? For some reason I just wanna go to KSU, i wana stay in GA, but GT i dont think id get into, UGA is too much Language Arts/English based, i hate reading older stories and then analyzing. GT my only reservation is that i think i have just over a 3.3, and ill bomb the SAT's i hope, aiming for 2100-2300, hell 2400. Man a 1440 is hella good, how many times you take it? So back to GT, i think i wont be able to get in, unless they have an Interview and Essay, which they judge alot.
I have a friend that went to Tech with me and then had to transfer to KSU for various reasons.
He said that KSU is basically like high school was and that the students aren't very motivated.
I've never taken any classes there, so i can't judge what anyone says one way or the other
I think you should go there just for the girls! lol
80 % girls i believe.
Anyway i went there once to pick up some info and I couldn't believe my eyes....pretty girls everywhere.......it was as if I stepped on an anthill and all the ants were hot.....
I like KSU. Their business and nursing departments are excellent. Dunno about the dorms, never lived there. But they're brand spanking new so they can't be that bad, from what I've heard they have a pretty good set up too (seperate baths, high speed internet, etc). Apartments close to school aren't badly priced, either.
LOL about the girls. If I go to Bailey's on Fridays I see most of the girls from my classes working there. A lot of shooter girls and wanna-be strippers go to KSU.

i had a 1280 on the SAT and a 3.5 in high school and got accepted...the dorms are nice i lived in them depending on what floor you wanna live on determines your rent....campus is nice, i heard a rumor that mr. frey(frey road is named after him) that the campus green is built on top of their pet cemetary and one day someone shot their dog and on certain days you can see blood on the green and see the dog running around chasing cats....dunno never saw it, but anyways it's a good school and is very well priced for all that there is there too...just my

Yes...hot girls everywhere! The dorms are amazing. They are apartment style dorms. Very nice. There are alot of immature kids there though. Kinda annoying.
KSU is getting bigger and having a better recgonition every year..
How is their Education program? I'm training to be a teacher right now and substitute teach at Dunwoody High School. Should I stick it out at GPC or go ahead and transfer to KSU during Summer?

its a very good school but a gay off campus life nothing to do at all. parties maybe or downtown ATL. but as far as bars and stuff there is nothing unless you like bowling and the movies every night! LOL. but it is a good school. i would say go to UGA. they have a very good business school and a nice amount of hot chicks and a good party place (downtown)

I've been thinking about transferring from GSU to KSU myself.
Read the thread about GSU and just about everything that everyone says is true. Unless you dorm there or live somewhere around there, GSU sucks.
And yes i have heard that the girls there are HOOOOOOOOOOT, which is another reason i wanna goCome on now, can't have all work no play, ya know
FUCK GRAN TURISMO EAST!! NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR THERE, ESPECIALLY NOT FOR AN ALIGNMENT!! TERRIBLE BUSINESS!!![]()
damn if you are saying that you wont have fun at southern unless you are in the dorms.....then my friend you dont know what fun is. the dorms SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
b4 I say this I must say that I could care less about school and that the only I am in school is to appease others. at KSU you don't have to pay parking, there is no fee for late registration, and at KSU you don't have to go downtown and put up with everything down there. my g/f was thinking about transfering to KSU b/c it is sooo much closer to home. Many others (mostly students of GSU) have presusded her to stay and their only basic argument for staying is, "mor people have heard of GSU. it has Goergia in the name. nobody's heard of KSU." a statement like that proves 2 things, 1. the person saying it obviously didn't learn anything at school. and 2. it's weak, their argument is strictly superfical. an education is what you make it. it dosen't matter where you go. you can either put up with the "highschool kids" or the horriable atl roads and traffic and the bums downtown. it's up to you. good luck
You have to pay for parking at KSU. If you look at your list of fees, its in there.
I mean pay some parking garage everyday. yes, the fee is in the KSU tution, but the overall cost at GSU is higher & you have to come out of pocket everyday. everyone knows it's just a BS fee to bring in a few bucks.Originally Posted by 1439/2000
You made some good points - but actually KSU is the #3 school in the state, behind UGA and GSU. From what they say it might actually overtake GSU in the next year or two.Originally Posted by {X}Echo419

But I have also heard that KSU was supposed to be bigger, in terms of numbers, than GSU in a few. I go to GSU and, i wouldn't say that i hate it, but i don't know. Its alright i guess. Yea your in downtown everyday, that's pretty cool and all. But if you don't live in the dorms, it really kind of sucks

I think we can all agree that school sucks... you'd think that opinion from the 3rd grade would've change by now huh? :idb:

cool, KSU sounds better and better everytime i hear it
oh well, we will see what happens, i hope i can do the dorms if I live there tho, either ill go there or UGA, Tech is a maybe
its a really great school im my opinion, im in my 3rd year there and its great. my girlfriend is tranferring there this semester because she hated GSU. they have a great business school which i will be applying to next semester, this semester will be my last semester of core classes. i take about 12 hours every semester and work closeby so i can take a class then leave for work right after and just drive right down chastain rd.
everyone thinks of KSU as still the little kennesaw college buts its not that way anymore. i heard somewhere that after this past semester we are now #2 in the state in population. We are now division 1 in sports and should have a football team in the next 5 years.
some people say parking is a bitch but they just dont feel like walking. i always park in the big parking deck on frey rd and just walk to class.
i went to KSU for one year took fall off now goin back again this month

I dont know how the SATs are graded now but 3 years ago when I was accepted at Tech a 1300 SAT score and 3.0+GPA would get you into the school. It really is not a hard school to get into but instead a hard school to stay in.
I did not realize that KSU was that big or well recognized of a school. I figured it was pretty easy because thats where all the ditzy girls from my high school went (again 3 years ago).

I know, I saw you last semester pulling out as I was pulling into the deck, hahaha.Originally Posted by brads94accord

Shit fuck GSU...im going to Kenesaw. Here I come with my big transferable education from California State Universtiy of Northridge. I hope...shit Im scared that I wont make it in.
you will KSU is easy as shit to transfer into
Val for President
Most colleges are pretty easy to transfer into (provided that you didn't fail out of your last one)... my friend even failed out of Tech twice and still got into KSU no problem.
I think that some people on this thread have confused the two GSU's (Georgia State University and Georgia Southern University). I've heard people tell me that KSU is coming up... but it really was practially a community college for a LONG time. College is really what you make of it. Look at your field of study and then decide. In retrospect, I learned almost as much from people, friends, and events at GATech than I did in my classes. Lots of people from lots of different countries and places.... based on that I probably wouldn't like (or reccomend) KSU over GaState. Its typically been a LOT of people from somewhere in Georgia... and I wouldn't have gotten nearly as much out of the experience.
If its the girls you are worried about then aint nothing stopping you from meeting them at parties or traveling up there during the week to see whats up.... however Agnes Scott was usually the Shangri-La that Tech guys would talk about visiting in order to find females.
Emory does have more girls than (straight) guys, but their student population is tiny... and their girls are just as fickle and picky as Tech girls (unless you go to an ivy league school or give them the impression that you/your family is upper class). I hate to say 'snotty', but I think that is how an Emory guy would describe most of the girls there :-/
I'd say your friend is dead on. I got there now and I ain't motivated fo' shit. It's like HS for me b/c everyone I went to HS w/goes to KSU.Originally Posted by Tarzanman
I am a freshman at KSU, first year. i must say, i really like the campus. easy to get around to, only thing is parking is a bitch. i was thinking bout transfering to either GSU or UGA, but i think i might just stay at KSU now. Great place, people are friendly, everything is close to together, like i said, easy to get around. If you commute you better come 20min early or so before class to find a damn parking spot tho.
The Villlage Dorms, are hella nice, i got couple of people living there and i am always chilling there, i live in the KSU place because the village is full. I might be transfering to the village when a spot opens up. for upper classmens, University place is also very nice. I must say, they have the best looking dorms out of UGA, GSU, and tech.
hope this helps. and oh yeah.. i herd people been saying that KSU business program might be equal, if not better than GSU business program, now or in a couple of years.

You'll find slackers no matter where you go... the only difference is how many. If you think you'd be happier in an environment where people are more serious about their academics then get on the phone and call up an admissions counselor at a different school.... or if that isn't an option, call up a professor and find out about doing some research or something. You can get paid for that sort of thing, and it helps get you get your resume to the top of the pile when you go to look for jobs.
