Default Question on the "HOmepark" area...

Well, it is almost time for me to transfer to Georgia Tech and I was looking at living on campus. However, at $3500 per semester it is fairly cheaper to live off campus and park my car for free (and carry a handgun too ). Anyways, I have found housing in the Homepark area for pretty cheap and I was wondering what crime was like in that area. Excuse my ignorance, as I am a pretty country-raised person from Barnesville and I have virtually no idea of modern street crime.

    Thanks guys.

It's a pretty sketchy area. My brother who used to go to tech had his car broken into and his laptop stolen a year ago. He also says that people get mugged in that area pretty often.

It's Atlanta, located close to the Varsity, Fulton County crimes, and it isn't Barnesville. nuff said.
