Get the XD, it's a better quality, just a as reliable, smother action and has a better feel in my opinion. They are nail drivers too, at 10yrs I can stack groups the size of a half dollar at 25yrs I can put all 12 rds in a 4.5" group. I carry my XD40 SC every day and everywhere I go that legally allows me, in all honesty if I can't take it with me I have be reason to go there...
People are always talking about there carry gun, but wat types of holsters are you us using? I was carrying my XD40 in a Blackhawk serpa but decided I wanted something that wouldn't let people know I was carrying so I bought a Galco KingTut IWB(InWaistBand) holster. It's super comfortable and allows me to better conceal my XD

You could try www.comp-tac.com but doubt they have anything. I've been looking for the same thing without any luck.

Please remember that all the power in the world will do nothing if it misses.
Accuracy can only be achieved by practice. Practice with the load that you carry, i.e. very expensive. Carry the best load you can accurately shoot with. All the ballistics and paper races mean nothing if you can't hit what you're shooting at. Remember that in a combat situation the likelihood that your target will stand backlit and still are zero to nil. So second shots, muzzle flash, and recoil do matter in combat situations. Just because someone can cycle a few magazines thru their weapon at the range doesn't mean they are ready to defend themselves in a panic situation. Practice, practice, practice. It will likely be dark. It will likely be scary. It will certainly be loud. Are you sure you still want that big heavy unruly handgun you've only shot at the range a few times a few times a year to defend yourself with loads designed to down elephants in Zaire???? Think about it.
In my back seat!

Forgot about this ol thread. About a year ago i sold the P3AT and picked up a para ordnance warthog in .45 for summer CC, Using an IWB Theis holster. Theis makes an excellent concealment holster for a great price! Currently now that its getting cooler weather, I usually carry the G20C OWB in the trusty fobus with a jacket on over it. I also keep an NAA .22mag in my pocket as a last resort backup.
Here are my two carry firearms:
The R1 is more of a build 1911 now and I carry the RIA 1911 (with NS) 95% of the time. I use a Galco IWB Holster.
And then the toy:

This was my old CCW.
I wanted something smaller so I picked this up. It's my current carry.

My carry gun started with a S&W body guard.
The firing pin cracked within 50rnds. The gun shop asked if I wanted to have them send it to S&W to fix it, I told them they could have that POS.
Next was a SIG p238 SAS. Carried that for about 2yrs. Great little gun. I cant hit shit with it, but thats my problem not the guns.
Next was a S&W 627 357 Performance Center. Great gun, just way too heavy to carry daily.
Current is a Glock 19 2nd Gen. Pretty nice to carry, however I think I might go back to carrying the SIG P238 and work on my marksmenship with small pistols.
I have several other guns I havent tried to carry such as:
Two Mark IIIs (22 cal wont cut it)
Kimber Raptor II (Too Heavy like the 357)
HK USP 45 tactical (Weight is ok, but it is way too huge)
Micro Uzi ( Not practical, and not carrying a $9k pistol/smg)
Sig 1911R (Just as heavy as the kimber)
S&W 629 44mag ( Heaviest handgun I own)
Taurus PT585 380(Wife wants it as "her gun")
I really like my LCP for carry. Its small, light, and its actually pretty accurate out to about 15 yards.

my only EDC gun is a Galloway Performance modded SR9c with a couple 17rnd mags in my pocket
Not really concealed carry, but I didnt think this warranted a new thread either.
I've decided on my next gun purchase, and the AR got pushed to the back burner once again.
Next run is going to be a Kimber Stainless II. I may even step up to the TLE/RL II if the price is right.
Going to get rid of the stock grips and add rosewood grips to it and add the tapered mag well and if I dont get the TLE/RL, I will also be putting on a set of night sites.
