I have stated that I am all for carrying and the right for people to defend themselves, but I would wish it was done with a bit more control and training, especially if they are going to carry it everywhere with them. In my 10 years in Atlanta, i have NEVER had a confrontation or been robbed at gunpoint. Does that mean that I do not want to arm myself for protection 'just in case'? Not at all. But I am also not going to run, not walk to the nearest gun store to arm me, my wife and my dogs and cats, without proper training on how to operate and handle a weapon. Unfortunately, not everyone has this mentality and a lot will think using a gun it is as easy as just point and shoot. It is too easy to get a gun nowadays and if we are going to be handing them out to every household, at least I wish that they educate and train them how to use it correctly.
