Pretty much every gun range that I have ever been to has asshole staff members. I mean I can partially understand why most of them are on edge. They have several fucking idiots walking in their store with loaded guns, accidentally shooting holes in their walls, floors and ceilings multiple times per week. I can imagine it would get nerve-racking. But overall most of them are just assholes like cops. They get a little bit of power in their hands (telling ppl what to do, like take your gun outside and clear it etc.) and think they are God. Also, they deal with a lot of first time shooters and gun buyers so they automatically assume that everyone is ignorant about guns and talk to them accordingly. Even though I am on a first name basis with everyone at my local range, I stopped shooting there because of the way they treat other customers. I found a nice little outdoor secluded section about 20 miles from civilization to go shoot.
The Bulleye in cumming have awesome staff. They've always been helpful and what not. The one in Lawrenceville is the complete opposite.
I've yet to be able to make it out to an indoor range. I would LOVE to be able to go to a place that allows you to perform ballistic testing with your personal gun and various ammunition.

“When convention and science offer us no answers, might we not finally turn to the fantastic as plausibility?” Spooky
I love bulls eye, though I am seen as a regular and most of the guys there know me fairly well. They can be a bit stand offish to newcomers but thats to be expected when you go into a Gun Club ( its not a gun store).
Try not. Do or Do not.
Pretty funny. All of my interactions have been terse but I haven't been belittled. I can tell there's a couple of D-bags there, but whatever they do have good prices...Plus I live 5 minutes away.

the only problem i have is sometime you have to wait to purchase a gun cause they are talking and guy try to cheap me off a extra clip when i brought a para ordinace 45 1911
i hate bullseye and even just for the range. i was a gun noob a year ago(and am still learning to this day) i knew i wanted a 9mm or a 40 cal but wasn't sure what one i wanted. i went in there with my father, retired navy after 23 years of service with a stack of cash in hand, and even counted this in front of the guy. well an hour later i had none of my questions answered and was treated like total crap. after a 15 min wait my dad tugged on me and said let's get the hell out of here and on the way out he made sure to talk loudly about the crappy customer service etc. that was the highlight of the night. we wanted to rent a couple to see what i liked too but no luck there. so they can go to hell there and i will never go again, i will go to the firing lane in athens any day and they actually give a crap about people there.
the best place i found and am now a repeat customer is clydes armory in athens. they answered all my questions, explained things for a noob(like a 17year old noob buying a honda lol) and no matter how busy the were i was treated like gold, ruben in there is the man!! so basically on the budget i had i was able to get a glock 23 .40, but that is because my dad is retired military and got a nice discount even though ruben knew it was for me. the 23 i had by friday all 10 had been sold and 1 was on hold. after calling everyday twice a day on it ruben said "well, i guess you want this one more than the man who put it on hold b/c he hasn't even called me about it. so low and behold i have a glock 23, 3 mags, speed loader, etc brand new all mine. and ruben even said any questions even a year down the road to call him. awesome guy. there ammo is also priced right, a box of 50 .40cal federal hst's for $23 you can't beat that with a stick. and a range is less than 3 mins away, hope this helps but i love clydes now. their selection was also very good and if they didn't have it they could give it to you quick and they could also give you a date. i'm actually gonna call and talk to ruben about rifles tomorrow, my girls wants to buy me one in a couple of weeks and i don't want her 22, even though it is nice as hell!!!!
bullseye also tried to charge me and a buddy $70 for less than an hour on one lane, we argues with the guy like hell and he dropped it to $50, we read the rated etc and it did not add up, when we asked for a manager he dissappeared and at that point we started to get abnoixous in this place and we caused a few people to leave, the whole time i was handing out cards for clydes. lol
