According to the Biblical account....
How long were Adam, Eve and their descendants SUPPOSED to live?

Answer- Forever

That was the plan...as long as no one ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
Once that was transgressed, all of mankind and nature for that matter began to decline, to suffer, to die. They then began to "know" evil and the effects of it. There were no physical abnormalities before sin. But after Eden they lived in a dying world with all the effects, disease, sadness, dying, crime, hard work, birth defects...etc etc etc none of which they knew before or would have ever known if but for sin.

To put it plainly all abnormalitites are the result of sin being allowed into the earth.
Before sin the serpent was confined to the tree, there were no temptations anywhere else. Thats why God told Adam and Eve not to even go near the tree, let alone eat of it.

My wife is a nurse. She works with infants. I can tell you there are many things that can go wacky (since sin) in the conception/intra-uterine growth/birth process that would have never been KNOWN to mankind if it wasnt for SIN.
Hermaphrodism is but one.

Now as for the "abomination" as you refered to it...I presume you are refering to gay sex which along with many other activities is condemned by the Bible.
According to Scripture, to sin requires two things....
Knowlege - "to know good and do it not, that is sin"
Action - This is Biblically defined as "trangression" of Gods laws

So to answer your question about the activity, if one knowingly engages in any action that trangresses Gods laws, without repentance, that soul will be lost. Do all hermaphrodites knowingly trangress Gods law? Theres no way for me to know this for sure but I doubt it.
