    Default A quick college question..

What is a recommended college that is good for learning pretty much all things automotives? I'm stuck in West Georgia Tech, and to be honest, it's way too easy here and way too boring. I also don't see a diploma from here getting me anywhere near where I want to be career wise.

    Thanks.

I'm liking the gwinnett tech recommendation. I especially like the nissan program.
The only thing I really have to consider right now with that is commute wise from douglasville to there. Any clues distance wise?

not really sure the distance for douglasville, but i commuted from McDonough to Gwinnett 5 days a week. it sucked but was well worth it in the end. try logging on to there web site to get the address then mapquest it.

also i dnt think they have the Nissan Pro cap program anymore, unless they brought it back. my last 1/4 ther they told us they were discontinuing Nissan pro cap to bring back the Desile program. im not sure though u might want to check.

Well, considering you are ready for a college education, you're probably old enough to look at a fucking map. I hate questions like these, so stupid.

You're right, it was harsh. I'm in a piss poor mood and today I read an article about how cellphones have made driving a scary experience, and how gps/mapquest has made people forget they can look at maps. I hate cell phone using drivers, so thanks to the article, I linked what I was looking at as laziness on your part to that hatred and took it out on you. In college though, you will have to get used to researching a lot of shit, so while picking a college, you should be doing a lot of research aside from just asking questions on forums. Questions are good forms of research, but you should get used to looking for yourself for 95% of the information. Anyways sorry about whatever the hell you'd call what I said.

UTI is a great school, but its way too expensive. for the amount of money u will spend on 1yr at UTI u could have gone though Gwinnett Tech 5+ times. u will learn the same shit, but it all comes down to u applying urself while ur in school. a friend of mine went to UTI and he didnt learn shit, no cuz the school sucks but cuz he didnt apply himself. at the end of the day its all the same shit no matter wat school u go to.

Well there you said it. This isnt a mediocre school and you will have to apply yourself to do good here. Why would you go to college and not apply yourself its wasting your time.

UTI is eh, Wyotech is decent but again... applying yourself is key.

i went to gwinett tech and was a mercedes tech right out the door. it comes down to common sense and knowing what you're working on.

Study hard, get as much hands on as you can, and do work. you'll come out better in the end
