went shooting today (added pics)
Well I took the p95 out to shoot today. It did awesome. Has a great triger pull didn't have a single problem out of it. Shot probably 150 rounds through it. I put houge slip on grips on it and picked up a holster for it. I think I may put some night sights on it and maybe get a holster that is more concealable, but thats it for now. I must admit I love this gun. Exspecially for the price..

LOL ok the target that is shot to hell was just a point and shoot. I was testing the rapid fire. Just wanted to see if the gun would jam.

Yeah, it was fun out there. I need to get my contacts so I can see the damn target. Also everyone shooting at the same targets doesn't let you know how to improve your shot, maybe next time the weather will be better and we can change the targets out more.

We were at some land his grandfather owns, its surrounded by pulp wood land.....no houses. But we were shooting into wood, even recovered some of the shot bullets. Calm down, just messing with ya. That is a good video, but as he says in the video, "the grip you use isn't going to affect the accuracy". It's his first handgun, he can try different things. Most people are going to hold the gun how they feel comfortable anyways. I am sure he'll look into that next time we go shooting though.

In the videos he said that your grip will not make you shoot better. . .however you apply all of your fundamentals is what will make you shoot better. Being that your grip is the most important fundamental that's where I would start improving.
You want the entire grip covered like the video teaches you for a number of reasons. Practicing the proper grip will allow more control of the gun and faster/more accurate follow up shots.
I hold it how I feel comfortable and it works for me. You hold the gun however you want. I have been hunting and shooting guns most my life. I know how to control one
i need some land to shoot at! lol

easy there laptop ninja, I was just making a simple observation on your grip technique. I too have been shooting all my life, but I shoot the proper way and will bet good money that my groups are tighter and more consistent that yours will ever be.
For you to be able to "control" a gun so well that is an awful lot of muzzle rise/flip from a 9mm.

lmfao... laptop ninja, never heard that before. I do appreciate the input. Not trying to be so defensive. I have just never really studied in to these things or anything. I just do what feels right. Any other tips would be appreciated, I will def. be trying this stuff out next time I go shoot.
It's all good man. I use to be the same way until someone showed me the proper way to hold/shoot a handgun. It feels a little bit funny at first because it is new, but a little practice and you'll be controlling that handgun effortlessly. I guarantee you that once you get use to the proper grip technique that your groups will get much closer and your follow up shots will get much faster.
Go on youtube and watch as many Todd Jarrett videos as you can. He is one of if not the best in the world. Of course you won't become a pro by watching the videos but really listen to what he is saying and really focus on doing what he says and exactly as he says the next time you shoot. I think you'll be suprised and what a proper technique and some practice will do for you.
How the do I get a slide that easy to use. At 4:50 it's effortless.

I bought a Ruger p94 off of a guy here not too long ago.... put about 300 rounds through it and never had a jam/misfire at all. Has been pretty accurate as well. For my first hand gun i am very impressed.
A friend of mine at work also has a p94. The only difference I see in the gun is the polymer handle/ frame and my p95 has an accessory rail. They are great guns for the money.
The internet is awesome and completely shitty at the same time.
You should know that such a subject with such pics will automatically bring out the "experts" to critique everything from the pistol, where you shoot, how you shoot, etc.
Do people think that posting a one liner "that technique sucks" actually helps anyone?
