YES
NO
Well if people didnt force their beliefs on others than this would not be the case and thats my main problem with most religions. A person should be free to live their life without religion teachings interfering with that person who chooses not to be part of it. Everyone interprets the bible differently

I would never spit in someone face, or disrespect them of what they believe in, or what they are. I worked with gay people, they were nice and polite. I do not approve homosexuality, but if someone chooses to go that path, that's them. I'll be friends with them, I wont hate a human because they're gay.
Same goes for people who use drugs. I do not approve them of doing drugs, but I'll be friends with them.
I hope you understand what im trying to say here.
I understand how you feel i left the church for 3 years. People ar Judgemental. Rude. Arrogant. Close minded. and rather selfish in most churches. People get too comfortable there. And they seem to think or it more like a country club than a church.... they gather on sunday to gossip.
[Srnsn]
My issue is... the bashing tiger. Saying a person isn't religious and doesn't follow their god because they accept something even if religion disapproves of it. I respect the choice...it's not a lifestyle i would live or encourage but it's a lifestyle that these people live. I hope you understand wht i'm trying to say here.
I can still love God and live for God while respecting the lifestyle..
[Srnsn]
I apologize if i came across strong and made you think I was forcing something on you. I love my god and respect him as much as you respect something that is in front of you. What I'm trying to say here is that I believe and love my god as much as you believe that love exist, the feelings you feel when you touch something is real, and that that chair your sitting on exist under your butt exist.
Yes, it's your duty to tell someone the right of way. It's their choice to follow it or not. An easier example to understand is: you can tell a drug addict that drugs are bad, now he can listen to you and stop doing them, or he can continue. This won't bother me, it's his sin to do the drugs. And my duty was to tell him to stop.
As long you try thats waht would matter. You can't offer him the choice you can give him what he needs to know...You can do it all with out shoving it down their throat but ultimatly it is their choice...and at somepoint...you'll a.) have to respect it and walk away or b.) try harder...
choosing b tends to push people away from the concept of a loving and accepting God.
[Srnsn]
Yes, you can still love god and live for god. But there are rules of god, its your job to follow them. I my self do marijuana, and doing drugs is a BIG sin in my religion. So is this any different from being gay? No it's not. I have many friends who tell me that it's bad, and I know it's bad, I accept that. I accept the sin that I'm doing.
Same goes for homosexuals. It's a sin what they're doing, so is me smoking marijuana a sin just as much. All i wanted to see if how many people are against or for homosexuals, nothing more. I didn't mean to bring harm to anyone.
Now if I made this thread: Are you against drug users, there would be bunch of laughs here and there. But since its about homosexuals, people get all butt hurt and shit.
Goodnight guys. It's been fun trying to get through to you all. But I must rest. Thanks Tiger for backing me up and to the rest of ya'll religion isn't about shoving something down someone's throat. It's about showing a God like love to everyone you come across. It's about being the person you should be. It's about being a person who lives a life that SHOWS with out ever having to say a word that you live for and love God. The attitudes here... and even a points m attitude doesn't show that. we're forgiven not perfect. sometimes..you need to remember...even though they are living a life that includes sin....so are you and so am i.
[Srnsn]
How is it your duty to tell me "not to respect you or your god."?
You don't just make new rules as you go along. Religion is something that will always have more than 1 side to it. But if you take Christianity, Islam, and many other religions, and you study them closely, you will see that they all talk about the same thing.
No. It doesn't affect me in any way what other people choose to do with their love/sex lives. Its none of my business. As long as they are happy, that's all that matters.
^^
wtf at your signature. buhahahha
I don't hate certain gays/gay people in genral. I am, against being gay though. I don't critize gays nor do I hassle them with the religion thing, but if they ask my opinion, I will give it to them. Its not right, by the religion I follow, therefor I'm against it.
"Damn, Its Tyler"RaceReadyDevelopments
I am not in the business of judging someone elses morality or choice of lifestyle.
But I have noticed that here in America we have several well known Christian Evangelists that apparently hate gay people so much that they just couldn't wait to get their filthy little hands on one, even willing to actually pay money for the opportunity!
Like Ted Haggard for instance, he was the pastor of the New Life Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado and was the president of the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) from 2003 until November 2006. Haggard's position allowed him occasional access to President George W. Bush. In 2006 it was alleged that Haggard had been regularly visiting a male prostitute who also provided him with methamphetamine. Haggard admitted his wrongdoing and resigned as pastor of New Life church and as president of the NAE. The high-profile case was significant also because it immediately preceded the 2006 mid-term elections and may have even affected national voting patterns. In January 2009, Haggard admitted to a second homosexual relationship with a male church member on CNN-TV and other national media, and when asked, would not directly answer a question about his other possible homosexual relationships.
But personally I think that if Jesus did exist...he himself was probably gay. Now according to the gospels of Phillip and Thomas it is unlikely that he was gay because in those accounts he was married and had a child. But those gospels never made it into the New Testament so they couldn't possibly be true.
But if we take the actual gospels as "truth"
1. We have a man in his 30's, unmarried...in a culture where is is unheard of for a man of that age to be without a wife.
2. Come on, we cannot just NOT acknowledge his 12 loving boyfriends.
3. The missing passage from the gospel of Mark inserted between what are verses 34 and 35 of Mark 10:
And they come into Bethany. And a certain woman whose brother had died was there. And, coming, she prostrated herself before Jesus and says to him, 'Son of David, have mercy on me.' But the disciples rebuked her. And Jesus, being angered, went off with her into the garden where the tomb was, and straightway a great cry was heard from the tomb. And going near Jesus rolled away the stone from the door of the tomb. And straightway, going in where the youth was, he stretched forth his hand and raised him, seizing his hand. But the youth, looking upon him, loved him and began to beseech him that he might be with him. And going out of the tomb they came into the house of the youth, for he was rich. And after six days Jesus told him what to do and in the evening the youth comes to him, wearing a linen cloth over his naked body. And he remained with him that night, for Jesus taught him the mystery of the kingdom of God. And thence, arising, he returned to the other side of the Jordan.
I bet Jesus taught his naked body the mysteries of the kingdom of God, and I am sure he learned them very well indeed....and a couple of other mysteries while he was at it.
4. The Apostle John is always referred as the one "Jesus especially loved", and famously was the one that put his head onto Jesus's chest during the last supper.
My gaydar is going off big time!
But what would it matter if Jesus was gay? would it negate his teachings, if the sermon on the mount was spoken by the "Queen of Queens" instead of the "King of Kings"? And if someone could prove historically beyond all doubt that in fact, Jesus was a homosexual. Would Christians then reject Jesus OR reject the evidence as usual? Your guess is as good as mine, and since you asked my religion I honestly cannot place myself anywhere, but I will go with Aggressive Atheist with Satanic leanings.

This thread is fucking dumb. The OP must dislike Gays to be thinking about it to start a Poll thread about it. It's like starting a damn Poll thread for liking/disliking a religion. Who the fuck cares. Move on with your damn life.
Edit - from the Thread title, I see that you do dislike them.

What a stupid fucking thread.
I don't hate gay people. I mean I may dislike a certain gay person but not because they're gay. Only true bitches hate gay people.
And a self-proclaimed Muslim having a problem with someone's choice of lifestyle or sexual orientation is outright laughable. A religion that currently is on the forefront of the most egregious civil-rights abuses and crimes against humanity in the past century.
i dont hate gays but i dont think its right. Someone please tell me where in the bible dose it say that you will burn in hell. please. i cannot find this area.... hell is not real. the only hell is to be buried.
YEAHHHH:idb:
Hey as long as I'm not getting hit on... They can lick and stick as many butt holes they want... Just don't talk about it either ewwwwwww
PROUD SUPPORTER OF BAM-TECH WTF?

Ahhhh, yet another Religious Fanatic.
And that rationality is why your Muslim buddies strap vests made of explosives to their bodies and blow people up for no other reason than you can't accept someone that doesn't do what you do.

You know what I love, when some idiot in the middle of a desert is so destitute that he decides to go wank off in a cave, half way through his wank he has an epileptic fit and decides to tell people the mess he made was created while god was speaking to him. That's kinda funny, wouldn't ya say? It gets funnier. People actually believed him, so...living in the desert and having nothing, with even water being of a huge premium, how could they get more people to believe them?
Well, for starters, you sir, if you pick whats behind door number 1, our door, we'll call it Islam, you get 72 virgins! I know, I know, it sounds like utter bullshit, it very well might be, but, but, we'll throw paradise in for free, think about it, do my bidding and all that can be yours! Whats not to love? However, if you dont believe that load of bullshit, there is always door 2, its free thinking and there is no reason to fear whats behind it, we'll call it hell, there you can make choices for yourself and you wont have to live violently and act out towards women or other people who have their own beliefs. Make your decision wisely...
This is America where we use these to deal with people like you:
