Default Hogue grips and Steel guide rods. Yay or Nay??

I am thinking of doing some upgrades to my Glock. Possibly a grip. Anyone like Hogues? Any other out there that you recommend? What do you like/dislike about it?

I also may order me a steel guide rod. I saw the Lone Wolf steel guide rod with spring for like 18 bucks on ebay. Any feedback on those are welcome and any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

I love Hogue grips. Might make that Glock not feel like a brick. Been wanting a steel guide rod for my gun too but heard good things.

on my glock, i have the stainless guide rod and non captured recoil springs. love it. i say go for it. extended slide release and extended slide lock are great upgrades too. if you ever want to shoot some reloads, get a storm lake barrel as well. i have all those things as well. i always heard that modifying the gun will make it less reliable, but i havent had one FTF or FTE yet and ive shot a good 1000 rounds through it with the modifications.
