ehhh...not really..since I mean Jesus hasnt even decended yet..but the anti-christ is already here....bush..

The weather patterns are normal, these trends come and go. They have happened before they will happen again. I will say there is an anti-christ but Bush is not him. Bush is not the problem, there are much more dangerous people in office then him.
We have at least until Dec. 2012, until that day is close I am not worried.
I usually don't quote scripture but...
"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come." -- Mark 13:32-33
I interpret that to mean NO ONE will know when the end is near. Hell not even Pat Robertson.I hope that will keep the Jesus groupies at bay, but I'm sure one of the holy rollers with quote another verse to contradict mine..LoL. I can't believe old rocker Alice Cooper said he feels the end is near. Wasn't his dad a preacher?
With that being said, the U.S. Geological Survey says there is an average of one magnitude 8 earthquake every year, and about 17 magnitude 7 and above, which is happening at the same rate they have for the past million years or so. "Hurricanes are happening more frequently now than in the past, but scientists say this is part of a natural cycle, rather than a signal of the end times." The National Center for Atmospheric Research, says global warming and a natural cycle of active and inactive hurricane seasons, has contributed to the recent spate of massive storms. I'm more concerned whether the Astros will when the World Series.
BTW, I was reading on a science forum that this is only the beginning as far as severity of tropical storms. Only time will tell.
"Life is short and no one knows what the next moment will bring. Open your mind while you have the opportunity, thereby gaining the treasures of wisdom, which in turn you can share abundantly with others, bringing them happiness."
Dec. 2012? end of the world or somethin?
Dec. 21, 2012 is the end of the myan calender. The myan's were able to predict the moon and sun alignment all the way up unitl this day. What does this mean, we don't know. Why the Myan's stopped here has always been a mystery.
The secret's to religion are housed in the Vatican. The truth about religion is out there and people know about it.
We need to start paying more attention to Egypt and the secrets that are held there. Everyone keeps reading the bible and trying to figure out when the end of days is, guess what it isn't there. The answer is here on earth, we have been told about our future.
Yet you had to stop in and check, coincidence? i think not.Originally Posted by quickdodgeŽ

It's not sci-fi. Why is it that anything about our future and out past that does not go along with the bible considered fiction? Many of stories in the bible cannot be traced by any account in history. We can look and touch these ruins and we can use the one universal language (math) to read them. How would a civilization that could not fly, knew very little about the world at the time build somehting so massive at the exact centerof the earth's land mass. This is only one of many puzzles. You can dis-credit them you want but the truth is humans have had religion forced upon them and to only believe what is in the great book. What are we so afraid of? Since the truth hurts people are content with going along with the great book of "good things". When the prophecies don't come true, and jesus does not return to earth what wil happen then? Religion is nothing new but all throughout history religions have come and gone, gods have been forgotten when they are found not to be true. The only thing that is common between religions and god's throughout history is the fact that they all look down upon us from above.
Apparently you misunderstood what I said OR I said it wrong. I was saying that because it seems sci-fi in nature the big things that have been build the ancent things that have been written so forth. I dont even want to get into the whole bible discussion but i assure you our thoughts and feelings on it are nothing less then similar. I find what you have to say to be insteresting, infact a bit more then interesting to the point that i want to hear more about it.Originally Posted by NEONRACER

Yeah, I guess I took it wrong. I am on edge today. The one thing that I have always had interest in is history. I try to read and learn as much about it without using religion. Religion has covered so many things up over the years that it has re-written history. Even to the point wher some parts of history have been destroyed and we really don't know the truth since it is gone.
I'm religious, but honestly am not worried about the "End of Days".... Because for one, I don't think it will happen.... atleast not in my life time. I think there's a better chance of mankind nuking themself.
Also... if it is the end of the world, EVERYONE (except for noah lol....) is gonna die too.... so it's not like your gonna be missing anything.
actually the end times is mapped out in the book of Revelations...
Jesus Christ will return and all of the Christians will ascend into Heaven with him, this is called the rapture of the church. After that there will be 7 years of Tribulation in which there will be many plagues and other things poured out from heaven onto the unbelievers still left on earth. These last years will pretty much be a fight between Heaven and Hell (the Antichrist/Devil/Satan) to win believers. At one point believers will be given a seal from heaven that only they can see, and others will choose to take a visible "Mark of the Beast"
The antichrist will be a powerful man that many people will respect and love, but as time goes on he will become more evil as his plans start to unfold.
I can tell you now that Bush is not the antichrist because the antichrist would NEVER pray to Jesus or mention God when making a speach....the antichrist will pray to satan and after a period of time during the tribulation he will die and become indwelt by satan and come back to life (imitating the resurrection of Jesus Christ in order to acquire more believers) and in the end there will be a huge battle between Heaven and Hell on Earth...except it won't be a battle at all because Satan won't be able to hurt any of the believers and Jesus will banish Satan back to Hell which will begin Heaven's reign on Earth for the next thousand years.
Everyone will see the "End of Days" the only difference will be if you're seeing it from Earth because you were a non-believer when Christ raptures the church, if you are a believer and you are raptured, or if you die and are in Hell, you will get to watch it from there.
Great job Zach.... well put. +1'd
That was a nice movie script there. The end of days is not mapped out anywhere, even the bible. The bible states that no man will know when it will come. Don't read a book and use common sense.
Accordingly to what you said we are all playing a game here. If you believe you live if you don't believe you die. So god is playing with his children to entertain himself I see. The good little children get a reward and the bad little children get killed. Makes alot of sense.
that is true, but the mayan's believe that 2012 a change in the world is coming, now for those who don't beleive this they have predicted the calendar and the changeing of the moons etc; so i wouldn't count them outOriginally Posted by NEONRACER
but also normally they believed when the changes came they would build another pyramid to pease the gods; thats why their pyramids are build on top of each other. so it may not be that bad
i personaly don't believe in the Vatican theory though... i think the answers to this world aren't anything you will find on a scroll locked in a vault, but probably something we have seen for millions of years but have never realized it was there.
The world ends when you die... Quote from my grand pa.

The Catholic church is very powerful. I can promise you that hidden deep within those walls there is evidence hidden to keep the church alive. This evidence would change the way we view the world.
The answers are out there, we will find out but unfortuantely for the masses it will not be how they believe it will be. The thing that I hope is that mankind is intelligent enough to receive the truth.
Lets see with all the weapons people have today i think anyone could believe the truth jsut makes you wonder who will be able to believe the most truth!
kinda reminds you of that saying "Who ever shots first walks away from the fight!"

"God overlooked people's ignorance about these things in earlier times, but now He commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to him. Acts 17:30-31
oh and I discussed this with some people today...
Why are people so quick to accept EVERYTHING but Jesus Christ and His resurrection????
It is because there is an enemy to Jesus (Satan) that isn't afraid of ANYTHING...EXCEPT Jesus Christ and His resurrection.
QD quit responding if you have nothing intelligent to say. Why do you not accept Jesus Christ and His resurrection?
i'm not close-minded at all, i've done my research on other religions and the historical accuracy of the Bible and its history.
I've done my research and made up my mind, so how does that make me close-minded?
How do you know what your research you did is accurate? You don't.Originally Posted by 1zach4

How do you know that yours is the only way to get to Heaven? You don't.
You don't know shit about this. No one does. Everyone goes by what the supposed "interpretation" of the Bible is. Who's to say that the interpretation is correct?
How do you know that Muslims won't go to Heaven because they don't worship the way you do? You don't.
How do you know that Muslims will go to Heaven and you won't? You don't.
You go by faith, not by fact. What you think is right is right. That's close-minded.
How do you know that Muslims(or other religions) don't have their own Heaven to go to? Again, you don't.
Every question that can be asked about religion about what someone knows will be answered with "you don't." Later, QD.
HAHAHAHA
I encourage you to contact Pastor Johnny Hunt at the First Baptist Church of Woodstock and ask those questions.
or
Contact Dr. Ergun Caner of Liberty University and talk to him about Muslims (he used to be one, and was trained to kill when he was younger and lived overseas)
or
Contact Josh Mcdowell who can show all of the historical documents you need to see to realize that Christianity is the ONLY religion with actual historical documents to back what is said in the Bible.
http://www.xtremeconferences.com/xwinter_speakers.html
there are a few good people you can talk to right there if you would like, and I pretty much know you will blow me off because obviously you have something against me and Jesus, but hopefully someone else will see this and take the initiative to find out the truth for themselves. Do you honestly want to take a risk on eternity?
As I thought. You can't answer my questions. Why? Because you don't know. Hmmmm. Was McDowell, Caner or Hunt around when the Bible was written? Do they know, as fact, what it is all about. I highly doubt it. Just because I am open-minded to others having their own beliefs doesn't mean I won't go to Heaven. It just means that I am more humanitarian than you. I don't shut people down because of their different faiths.
BTW. I don't have anything against Jesus. Just idiots like you who think they know it all based on what they've heard. You ever heard of rumors? That's kind of what the translation of the Bible reminds me of. Later, QD.
Just like I said...you would just shrug off those names and not look into them. They use fact-based evidence in their preaching and not "rumors"
And don't say I "shut people down" because of their different faiths. I have friends that are muslim and jewish and don't believe in anything I believe, and I don't believe in what they believe.
So that does not make you anymore humanitarian than I am.
Do some soul searching and actually look up some of those people and then you can talk
yes people do know for certain...quit talking about something you know nothing about. You suck, and so do your anti-christian ways
I am going to get in on this.
Hell, why am I going to even try. I can put fact after fact out there and nobody who doesn't want to see it will see it. Christians are closed minded because they beleive in only the bible. They do not try to find out for themselves the truth. They have not studied history to see if these things can actually be founf elsehwere in the bible. Of course things in the bible actually took place, the book was written about events in the past but no all of the events are true.
Where is Solomon's great temple? How come we cannot find proof of it's existance? Why is there no proof of a great temple on top of the actual site named in the bible?
Where is babylon? We have not found any proof of it's existance.
Where is the ark and why is not on top of Mt Ararat where th ebible said it landed? Why is it that the Quran anmes the site it landed 200+ miles south of Mt. Ararat.
Where is the proof of a great world wide flood? There is none. Although there is proof of the black sea forming from a great flood when the Meditterean Sea poured into it. Couldn't this have been seen as a world wide flood? Yes it could, the stories would travel witht he refugees to all parts of the world. I know this is a hard concept to understand for you.
Throughout history religion and god's have come and gone. They have all been proven false. The only thing these share is they reign in the skies. Why is that I wonder? You want to believe what you and that is fine. heaven and hell is a scare tactic used to ease the idea of dying and to help control man's natural urges. The god's before Jesus were used tos care people as well, this is not a new practice. Since the muslim religion is so large and they beleive they are the only ones going to heaven and gert the 30 whatever virgins and what not that they are right. You believe the same thing about yourself.
You spout off preacher's names like it is supposed to mean something. I am sure I could listen to them and then go through and disprove alot of what they say. The truth is out there and the power of the church is what suppresses the truth. The shroud of turan has been proven a fake. Yet it is still viewed as the real thing. Science can give the truth and the church can ignore it. wake up to the world around my friend.
I don't believe that everything that happened in the Bible actually happened. I think that a lot of the events in the Bible were turned around throughout time. Here is an example scenario of this works:Originally Posted by NEONRACER

Get it? Bob went from being tall to being grossly overweight. Just rumor and mistelling the "facts." Later, QD.
Oh is he still the pastor there?? I used to go to that church a looong time ago, I drove by there the other day and wonder if he was still there...Originally Posted by 1zach4

Once again...the devil is simply trying to stop all of you from hearing the truth, and i'm leaving this thread alone because my faith will not be shaken by any of you.
Oh yeah and about Noah's Ark...Try looking into some history about "Mt. Ararat"
It was a whole region of mountains...so the Quran saying it is 200 miles away from the modern Mt. Ararat is quite possibly the exact location. The reason they haven't found the ark is because the gopher wood it was made out of has long since disappeared
BTW: I'd love for you to go have a conversation with any of those pastors or speakers and disprove ANYTHING they have to say.
Christianity is the most fact-based religion there is.
