Its great that you are doing that. My father has been taking me hunting since i was 8 or 9 when I use to live in Louisiana, and Texas. We go every year duck hunting in Mexico. Its our annual pilgrimage. My dad has been doing it for 20+years. Every time we go its a blessing, and develops memories that go with you for life.
