    Default Dropping the excess baggage...

So I've picked up some luggage during my off time due to having nothing to do and sitting around the house all day, every day, watching my stories and eating pork skins and Bon-Bons. Ended up picking up 20 pounds over the course of 3 months.

Oh fuck no I can't have that. I can't begin to start to fit the mold that a lot of my "fan club " members see me as already. A fat virgin in my Mom's basement. Lucky my Mom's house doesn't have a basement. Or a crawlspace, even. And my gaggle of children can attest that I'm no virgin.

Thank you, Maury, for proof positive.

And since I can't give my "fan club" even 1/3 the satisfaction that they had me pegged, I figured I needed to get out of the house and get on the grind. I started off Monday and Tuesday of last week with walking a 1.5 mile distance (around one block in my hood). Wednesday and Thursday I upped to twice a day. And, with the help of some tips from Lurker, I changed my eating habits pretty drastically.

Now I'm on a good, solid eating schedule and 6 miles a day walking (around 2 blocks in my hood). I walk 3 miles twice a day.

Last week, on my slow start to this, I managed to drop 6 pounds. SO I'm hoping with this being a full week of the new regime to see that increase a bit.

    Sunday, November 22 = 235 lbs.
    Saturday, November 28 = 229 lbs.
    Saturday, December 05 = 226 lbs.
    Saturday, December 12 = 226 lbs.
    Saturday, December 19 = 226 lbs.

Check that. On the road to Skinnyville. Later, QD.

I want to and plan to. But I'm not in shape enough right now. I'm working up to it. My plan is to start getting into running/jogging when I go back to work. I do two 3 mile walks now because I have time to with not working. When I go back to work, I will only have time to do one 3 mile walk (except for weekends). So I'd like to make the most of that walk by exerting more energy. But I don't mind the walking. It only takes me an hour to do the full 3 miles and my neighborhood is great for walking in. Later, QD.

I hate running but the army makes me do it. Eventually i would step it up to running the way back on your first walk of the day and then running the entire first session of the day. i wouldnt run both everyday though because that can get rough on the knees.

I literally did nothing but eat all day. Even as late as 11pm, I'd make a couple of sandwiches and eat them. Then go on to bed soon afterward.

    I now do this:

8-8:30am - Eat two packs of maple and brown sugar oatmeal w/ 2/3 cup milk, glass of water to drink
    9am - go for 3 mile walk
12pm - Eat 2 turkey sandwiches on wheat bread, drink a glass of sweet tea
3pm - Eat about 5 sticks of baby carrots, glass of water to drink
    5pm - Go for 3 mile walk
7pm - Eat dinner, just a normal dinner, but maybe a plate and a half, drink sweet tea with it

I keep a glass of water beside me most of the day and after dinner, if I feel hungry, I just grab another glass of water and drink. Surprisingly, it hasn't been hard at all to NOT crave anything to eat after dinner. Later, QD.

Congrats on your motivation! That is the hardest part of the battle, as I'm sure you're aware. I have been working on losing some weight, myself. It isn't easy, but each day gets a little better.
