It will be a good way to stay in shape SOMEWHAT, but a lot of it boils down to you keepin in the gyms. I'm bad about it, but I guess I perform well enough that I don't really have to worry about it.

The AF will pay for most of your school, if not all of it while you're on active duty, and yes, if you apply for the Montgomery GI bill, you'll have money for school when you're out.

Traveling, yes, you will leave your current location, hahaha.

My first year went like this:

Lackland for basic
NAS Pensacola (only 2 career fields train there) for tech school, roughly 4 months
Grand Forks AFB, North Dakota (thumbs down) since July 04
Deployed to Al Udeid, Qatar this past may, did 120 days, came back 3 weeks ago. Most deployments for active duty ranges anywhere from 45-90-120 days, depending on your career. Some even go 6 months.

A lot of your AF career depends on what you wanna do for your job.
