    Default Johnny Walker Collection

So who has seen the johnny walker collection of blue label, gold label, black label, and red label? Its about $60 after tax. I am thinking of picking up one or two, one to keep as an investment, one to drink.

Does anybody think these will be worth a lot of money over time?

I mean if the distillery exploded or something it could become valuable, but I think you would get more enjoyment/value out of drinking it than saving it since it is a pretty common brand.

Granted, this info could be totally false, but somebody that seems to know more about that stuff than me has the same opinion:

Yeah, I was only thinking that the Blue Label would drive the price of the set up. I mean that shit has serial numbers lolol.

It won't go up in value like wine. It will just be the same whiskey today vs. 10 years in the future. Same taste etc. It won't age in the bottle like wine.

Only way if it is an extremely rare scotch or limited production product (like the Blue Label 200th anniversary edition with a baccarat crystal decanter) but then you would have paid big money already in the first place.

Just drink it and enjoy it. Will give you a nice sample of different blends of whiskey.

If you want to invest in alcohol, buy a good bottle of wine...

I bought a few of those and gave away as presents.. I think they look cool chillin in your living room.. I may just buy another one and keep it as a " collection ".. is a cool little box set .. I'm sure it will be the same value anyways years from now..

I love Black label.. personal favorite.
