i understand completely what you mean. my sister graduated from GC&SU with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice then she went and got her associate's degree from macon state, but yet she hasn't applied for any positions in that career field and really hasn't put those degrees to use. i do respect her though cause she is the book smart one in the family and i did what i had to to pass high school. granted i tried the whole college thing, but it just wasn't for me and i figured if i want to do something with my life and make something of myself the military was my only other option. so i hope you find your one true calling. all the best

I admire and respect your refusal to accept the answers people are giving, that is, the answers that tell you to stop worrying about it. Ol' Socrates said that "the unexamined life is not worth living," and I agree with this wholeheartedly.

I apologize that I can't offer more wisdom, but I think it's because I'm just kind of chugging through college and my path is set for the next couple years or so. I'll probably come back looking at this thread when I'm freaking out in the spring of 2011, weeks from graduation.

It was mentioned that Einstein said that only a life lived for others is worth living. I find that to be completely ridiculous. It works out for most people that helping others brings them happiness, but your life is about you. I guess that's the part of me that agrees with Ayn Rand, and I won't really elaborate because I wouldn't do the idea justice like she does.

Don't settle. Don't stop asking questions. Don't wait for karma or fate to kick in, because it's not going to.

Yeah, I am doing my best to not worry. I figure it will eventually settle, it's just getting closer to the end and I am starting to feel pressured. Just don't want to mess up, but messing up comes with life this I know, so I guess I will see how it all goes
