So I'm always up for trying new sushi restaurants, and I wanted everyone's opinion on their favorite sushi restaurants.

EGE in Roswell is great
MF in Buckhead is also very tasty, they seem to have better Otorro than anyone else.
Starfish is also pretty good

Shokatini for SURE in Athens, damn good.
Dragonfly in Alachua, Florida (Gville area) it's amazing. The atmosphere is awesome too.
Ru Sans and Shokatini
Utage is the best place in Athens IMO.

Ru Sans trys to hard to make Americanized sushi.
True sashimi slices are more traditional.
Sushi Yoko is where we usually go.

But yea, I think Ru San is like the equivalent of Panda Express for chinese food. It's decent and comes with great pricing but if you've had "authentic" sushi like from Yoko or MF, you'd know the difference. I think most people only go to Ru San's for the atmosphere (i.e. bitches getting nailed off sake bombs)![]()
Starfish
Tokyo Japanese Steakouse in Cartersville
Thaicoon off Briarcliff by the Kroger. Damn good sushi
Their sashimi is great too

Sri Thai in Snellville is pretty good, plus we always get good service since we're "regulars".
There's also a brand new one right up the street on Hwy 124 (can't remember the name now) but it has REALLY fresh stuff. I actually like the Sushi there better than the Thai restaurant, but the rice is better at the Thai restaurant.
There's a good one downtown, a couple of doors down from Silk. It is pretty good. It's the one that has the conveyor belt thing going around and around. It's pretty neat.
Inoko Sushi express in Athens is decent... not as big of a menu of nigiri, shokitini, and tempura as RuSans', but Inoko does have complimentary onion soup (with crunchy fried onions in it). And the deep fried bagel roll I had was pretty good. The eel nigiri was great too. Overall, the food is a little better than RuSan's, but the menu is smaller and they try to package things together into meals so its not as well suited for drunken snacking.
i'ma big nigiri style sushi fan.
too bad mali doesnt have a scallop nigiri. nothin like a fresh, raw, jumbo scallop. ive only eaten ru sans nigiri and its not that bad. but will be trying these places you guys have mentioned real soon. thanks for the tip that what ive been eating was mediocre!
THANX
I like the sushi from Atlanta Fish Market, you may not think to get sushi there but it is great. They also have a bitchin (is that a word) steak. I also like MF sushi bar on ponce de leon. Hope this helps.
best place in my opinion to get good fresh sushi, is niko niko across from mall of GA i have been to a lot of sushi resturants and i have yet to find one that is similar to niko niko
Sushi Ave. in Downtown Decatur is the best I've had.
Real traditional Japanese food made by real Japanese people...
(Not like ru sans where a bunch of Mexicans are pretending to be Asian...)
Call before you go as they are closed between lunch and dinner, and there's not much parking...easier to ride the train in.
