Meskerem...

Its an Ethiopean place. Most of their dishes are really rich stews that are served on top of flat bread. You are also given a sourdough bread called injera that you use as a utensil. There is no silverware, you eat with your hands and the bread.

When I went, I had the Awaze Tibs, which was a spicy beef stew with chunks of the injera bread in it. They use a lot of cardamom in the Awaze if you're familiar with spices. I tried a little of the regular Tibs my friend ordered and it was good too. It was the same sort of stew, but less spicy and with vegetables instead of the bread.

I also ate at Cafe Bombay recently and it was good, but knida spendy at like $12 for lunch buffet. I hear they have belly dancers at night though
