What did Jesus Look like?

to all you Christian folks, please describe to me what Jesus looked like. Like what race he was, skin color, hieght, facial hair ect ect.

I am not a Christian (ex-Christian), but if Jesus existed... as you know he was a Jew... an ethnic Jew is one whoms ancestors are from Judea and those regions in the Levent... the Levent is home to Semetic people (Hebrews and Arabs are Semites).
What you can count on is that he was not the straight up European you might think of.

Bingo! Scripture after scripture of these precise accounts of Jesus yet nobody can say what he looked like.

Even I was skeptical as a kid in the church about how they depict him. From coloring books to the stained glass windows of a church they all show a white man with flow light brown hair and a beard. It's simply not possible.

It's been carbon dated as late as the 1400's so is it real or is it Leonardo DaVinci himself? If anyone on earth could produce such an item it was him. Ironically the person that painted the most famous image of Jesus during the last supper. Personally I think we're all gullible and go with whatever the masses say or want us to believe. Supposedly DaVinvci was hired by a church to create the image so more Pilgrims would attend. Pilgrims that ironically look like that depiction of Jesus.

it does not really matter what he looked like does it? i think its funny how i have seen so many different pictures of jesus in different colors.for me i believe he was a man on earth like you and me i dont care if he were black,white,brown,yellow or pink to try and put a certian race on him is retarded.
and i would like to add that he was and still is greatness and we should all strive to live the way he did but not literally i dont want anyone drowning from failing to walk on water.yes some stories seem exaggerated in the bible but who cares its a good read!

Does it matter what He looked like? One thing that is true, the image of Him as a man was created by other men for their own purposes and/or gain. Just like we know St. Nicholas existed, but his current image was created by the Coca-Cola company.

Regardless of what He looked like, He was a great being.

I like to think of jesus as a mischievous badger, or even an ice dancer, dressed in an all-white jumpsuit and doing an interpretive dance of my life, some other times i think of him in a tuxedo tshirt because it says im formal, but im here to party. most of the times i think of jesus with giant eagle wings, singing the lead vocals for lynard skynard with an angel like band and im in the front row and im hammered drunk. i thank the lord baby jesus lyin there in his ghost manger, just lookin at his baby einstein development videos learnin bout shapes and colors.

the real question is what he looks like right now. the book of revelation depicts him differently in a couple of places i can remember. one having white hair, eyes of fire, and bronze feet like they were in a furnace. and another appearing as a Lamb slain.

Weren't the Gospels on Jesus written after his death? People disagree on exactly when they were written, but it was decades after he died. There probably wasn't anybody who knew what he looked like. Wonder what else they didn't know
