It's one of my many hobbies and I know it's wierd but I love to cut my grass! I also like having the best looking yard in the hood . Show me pics of your manicured lawns. It's been a rough year on the lawn but it's doing better. Tell me what you think of my yard and post pics of yours . I could gain from other peoples knowlege about lawn mant. as well.

Only Applied weed killer, Scotts weed n feed, scotts fertilizer.

I'll be sure to put down crab grass treatment in the winter, seed the rear (Fescue in rear/Bermuda in front). Will also do Pre emerge in winter and start the landscaping project. I'll add lime in the spring.

I also have 1 hole to fill, sod grows well in sand so sand it is.

No pics of my other lawn...

    Some very nice lawns guys

I wish I had a pic of my parents lawn back in middle school when I used to mow it twice a week. It looked like golf course. I've been lawnless since I started college though.

very nice! I need to get something out for the crabgrass now! I am also having a dumptruck load of sand brought in to level out the whole yard. My shit is so uneven (the ground under the grass) thats why I have to mow it so slow so I don't get all the little brown rings where the blade dips down too low.

I'm ashamed of our yard! For some unknown reason, our house is the ONLY house in our subdivision that does not have sod. We just purchased the house a couple months ago, and it is strange... like no one EVER planted grass in the yard. It's nothing but weeds....

Oh well, I guess we will dig it up this fall and plant some grass. Nice lawns though!!

Sounds like a fun project. Our back yard was like that and I had a guy with a Bobcat come in and tear it all out and lay sod. 6 pallets of sod, the soil prepared, the sod laid, was like 900 bux. Good deal if you ask me . It was instant green and I love it! I will take pics of that later. got a fence up and need to do a lot more landscaping. Also adding on to the existing deck...some day soon

Thanks guys, KREEP's crosscut is untouchable though.

Princess was it a foreclosure? Probably fell victim to owner neglect over the years.

Yeah, it was a foreclosure. Neglect was my first thought, but my neighbors informed me that the builders, or whoever, never laid sod in the yard to begin with. They thought it was strange too because we have a pretty strict HOA.

Any volunteers to help us tear the yard up this fall?

Damn 10 acres to CUT? That's a task!!!

I have a self propelled mower, my neighbors are like - you need a riding mower boy. lol

I hate the maintenance associated with them and i'm too frugal.

That would've been hilarious if the thread ended after this post.

That's weird how that builder slacked off.

I have 12 acres I mow, 11 up front, 1 in the back. Haven't really had the time to pretty it up as much as usual this year.

Miles, I'm going to come piss/shit/vomit/cry on your lawn, then pwn you at Socom in your own house.

Is there a website or book anywhere on how to cut your lawn like that? That looks freaking awesome.

I have 2 acres myself. But I also have the alcovy river in the back yard. So I try to keep part of my back yard as natural as possible. But in the front, I want it to look like yours.
