    Default IA Watch Thread........

So i just bought my first semi decent watch. Nothing fancy just a decently priced light watch that i can wear out to nice dinners and family functions. Im new to the watch game so post up what you recommend and what you wear!

I must say that I am not familiar with timepeices because I don't wear them but, I do also have a citizen eco-drive watch and I am pretty satisfied with it even though I don't wear it. As for the long run I plan on reviving an old rolex that I found that my grandfather owned and hopefully get another watch to compliment it. I would like to eventually have a set of nice watches in a self winding box. But that is my aspiration, others would think of me as being materialistic but a nice enough watch can be passed down. Like old gold pocket watches, something that can hold value and maybe even a story.

I have been wearing Fossil watches since I can remember; nothing fancy and no more that $150. My next one will be a Movado 800 Series; Model 2600019 or 2600043.

You cannot compare ESQ to MOVADO..

Actually, I think ESQ is owned by MOVADO or something.

I have a Rolex, don't know the style. Dan has several Rolex's then a Cartier Posha. He never wears them, but started collecting them in HS. I wear mine when I go out to a nice dinner or whatever. It's nice because people actually treat you nicer. Weird.

You would know it if you saw it. I hate it. Very gaudy. It has a tic tac toe bezel on it.

But yes, some places it's nice to have a watch. I never noticed the watch people wear, but once I got one, I noticed lots of people noticed mine. Then when you go shopping some place nice, all of a sudden people want to help you. Haters.

Oceanus Atomic timekeeping with Solar power.

Not super fancy, but I like it.

These are the ones that I have been wearing for the past few years:

    Tissot T touch:

    Tissot PRC - 200:

I also have a yellow and blue chrono citizen, a couple 20 yr old Casios...

Oh and an automatic, skeleton Swatch:

My next purchase will probably be this white ceramic Rado:

The whole watch is HIGHLY scratch resistant.

A Movado that I have always wanted is the Valor....made out of tungsten alloy (the hardest metal). It's slim yet it's a nice weight.

I also wanted this watch too. It feels so nice with its weight. Found it a year ago at the North Georgia Outlets at the Movado store for $399. Just didn't have a spare $400 on me at the time.

I'm almost sure it had to have been a Chanel.
I don't think Gucci makes any ceramic versions but I could be wrong.

    Or this BELT driven Tag:

TAG Heuer have constructed the world's first drive-belt transmission-powered watch, the one-of-a-kind Monaco V4 Concept. Displacing traditional watch design innards for a four-barrel sapphire and platinum linear oscillating mass system, the V4 throws almost 300 years of watch design out the window, rethinking entirely the way that watches are built and constructed.
