My local DNR chapter/office is going to be doing a "Knives for Charity" event next month for young kids. I am helping organize the event. The purpose of the event is to raise money for local boy scout and church youth groups that use hunting as an educational tool. The idea/concept is to collect as many knives as possible to take to the event. Its going to be setup like a swap meet/gun show with tables. To be a part of the event you have to donate atleast 50% of your earnings to the DNR which in turn will help with the program. The program is going to be giving away free hunters education courses as well as free skeet shooting classes and I am going to be teaching a basic rifle marksmanship course for the youngins. I am donating all my time for the class and money from sales at the event to the program. I think its a great idea and a wonderful way to actually give back to the community. (unlike all these free stimulus programs, haha)

WHAT I/WE NEED:
Old knives (pocket, kitchen, hunting, survival, fixed blade, folder, etc) to sell. My main mission is to collect them either for free (which would help my profit margin to give back to the program) or purchase old knives. The knive needs to be in usable shape. I can polish out and re-sharpen blades before the event.

If your willing to donate a group or individual knife I can paypal/money order you money for shipping. If your wanting to sell your knife/knives then send me photos and specs of what you have and I will see if it is going to be feasible for the event. I am not going to buy your $40 knife for $40 when that would not allow me to give money to the program. I went to the local flea market and got alot of donations that way and I hope that we can actually make this event work!!
