    Default Which Shotgun?

I'm sort of on a budget, and gave my old Remington 12 GA to my brother, but want to get a new shotgun.

I like Remington, but was also looking at Mossberg for quality and effective at a good price.

I really like Benelli and Beretta, but the prices are kinda high or those.

I really like the Mossberg 500 JIC 12 GA. It isn't too much, but I'm not a shotgun guy so I'd like some feedback.

    Thanks in advance.

Can't go wrong with a Mossberg. I keep mine around for personal protection, very nice shooting weapon as well.

Mossberg 500's are great guns. Have had a few of them and am about to buy another one this weekend. They are one of, if not the most reliable pump shotguns around. If you are on a budget, the Maverick 88 by Mossberg Security 8 shot model is very nice. I will vouch for the Maverick all day long. I have had a few of those as well and have never had one fail on me. Some ppl like the trigger guard safety on the 88 more than the top mounted one on the 500. All of the 500 accessories fit on the 88 except for forearms, you have to buy an adapter ring. Stocks, barrels, etc all interchange.

I had a Moss 500. Cheap, works but just felt a touch loose to me. I'll try the 870 next.
