Default Help me choose between these 3!

This is for conceal carry.. I am no pistol expert, and any advice would be greatly appreciated!! I am split between these 3 choices:

    Glock 27:
Leaning towards this one. Only thing, I doubt I would carry +1 even with a hard holster..

    Beretta PX4 .40:
Holds more rounds, will carry +1.. Most expensive of the three, but only by ~$50..

    Keltect:
Half the price of the other guns, seems to be a good gun..

I carry a glock 36 +1 daily if that helps. I have no experience with the others.

Why do you doubt you'd carry +1 with the glock? Is it because of the safety only being on the trigger?

Oh really? I figured it would be really hard to shoot yourself since the trigger has to be pulled, but I guess anything can happen. I don't have a glock myself but I want the 23, just the next size up .40. Several people I have known have had glocks and never had a problem with it going off.

an unloaded gun is usless (non chambered). I like my 27 for daily carry, and i carry chambered with a full mag.

The people that shoot themselves usually do 1 or 2 things:
    - finger inside the trigger guard while upholstering
    - clothing inside the holster snags the trigger when upholstering

If it were always on your side, I don't see it being a problem. Now if you constantly move it from your house, to in your car, to on your holster, etc, then that allows a lot more room to possibly pull the trigger.

there is an easy solution to all AD's. DONT PRESS THE TRIGGER! simple yet effect fix.

I dont believe in the AD concept. There are no accidents. ONLY NEGLIGENCE. Thats why I believe there all ND's.

I believe someone around here has a sig that says all plastic belongs in your wallet.. haha..

Have you looked into/held any of the airweight series of revolvers? They are way lighter, will shoot plus p rounds, handle very well, etc.. etc..

Anywho.. which ever way you go. Make sure you go to a store that will allow you to shoot the gun before you buy it. If not make sure you have a firm understanding with them that if you dont like it you can bring it back. Most places that have rentals will have all of those that you have listed above. Go shoot a couple of boxes and let us know what you decide.

I saw what his price range was and didnt feel there was a realistic way to hit that goal with a bobtail. Unless he is willing to suck alot of dick. haha.

sometimes all we need to increase our price range is the proper motivation. In this case a sex load of 1911 porn

(not sure if it will work though)

I like the slim frame glocks better than the xd's.

I was going to say the same thing. I got an xd-9 subcompact and really like it. If you're really worried about carrying +1 then you'd probably like the xd's. They have a trigger safety like the glock's and a handgrip safety where you actually have to hold the grip firmly or else it won't shoot. So keep that in mind when trying to choose a sub compact or compact handgun. Plus I think the xd's look a ton better then the glock's and everyone and their mom's have a glock!

PS: The xd's also has a feature where it indicates if the gun is cocked (not sure if glock has that) and a feature that lets you know if the gun is chambered.

Have you thought about sig's? I've held a sig and it was probably the most comfortable handgun I've held. Probably the next gun I will purchase.

I say carry a 380 for cheap and alot smaller unless u want to handle alot of paper work on the bigger guns far as the aftermath of shooting some 1.I no alot of ppl are not into revolvers but if you want a small gun with alot of pack...

if your just stuck on getting a compact and want something for a decent price these guy's make a decent gun and they seem to hold well if you keep them clean after shooting..

wow.. what the fuck are you talking about? More paperwork after shooting? I am assuming you mean there would be more paperwork after shooting someone with a 45 versus a 380? You have absolutely no idea what your talking about.

You mentioned for him to get a revolver. That is a great idea. You give him a link to a taurus judge. That is probably one of the largest framed revolvers you can get.

So in one thread you managed to give the worst two bits of advice i have heard all day.

    Thanks

Id trust any glock over any beretta, especially over any kel-tec too.

Life begins at 6000 RPMS.. You will notice an audible change in engine noise, large increase in acceleration and any female passengers will immidiately start to remove their clothing.

I ccw my G26 with a clipdraw and saf-t-blok. +1 hit me up and I will meet up with you around town (if you still in athens) and I will let you see how you like that set up.

EDIT: I am very happy with the 26, I wish I would have went with the 27... but 9mm is a little more pleasant to shoot recreationally, not to mention cheaper. I still wish I would have went with the .40

HAHAHAH I can't justify spending that much on a handgun! That bobtail commander is SICK, however, I could buy a motorcycle for that!!

I went to the range today, shot the G27 and the xd.. I really liked both!

I am no longer considering the Px4, I still need to try the p40 keltec, and I will look into revolvers (please guide me)..

but lets be logical about it frenchy! A motorcycle on average is only good for killing/maiming its owner. A 1911 bobtail on the other hand is on average good for killing those who wish you harm. Now, whats the obvious choice here? The 1911 of course
