LoL thanks. Nah the kick isn't that bad for a 3" barrel. I have show a snubnose 44 mag. so this thing is like a 22 compard to that. Thanks everyone for all the input I have the 4" version in 40 also and as far as polymer pistols go springfield is hands downthe best IMO.I just got this compact b/c the giy pretty much traded me even for an older gun and I have been wanting something for concealed carry for a while now.its not very concealable w/ the high cap. mag in it but w/ the shorter mag its not too bad. Next up when I get a little extra money is a 1911 though.

Best thing I read in this thread. I hope you enjoy it. Now go shoot 2-3k rounds through it and send us a range report with what you learned.

Basic training huh. What branch? What MOS?

You dont need a .45 = Good shot placement and the ability to actually be effective with a pistol is first. Take a couple of good pistol classes and you will be set.

Wow, a scout huh. Thats like the 3rd gayest MOS in the army. haha. Glad to know your atleast volunteering to fight for your country. If you have any questions about the army let me know. I have been active duty for the last almost 4 years. And remember this and dont forget...

11B is the only real mos in the military. Everyone else is support.
