I tried to brew my own and I got all the way to the bottling stage. I added a mix of sugar to the second pail in order to get the second fermentation and placed it all in bottles. I woke up a day later and every single bottle exploded in my tub. I had filled 36 bottles and had to clean glass out of my tub for like 2 hours. Ever since then I just didn't try again because I wasted so much money on that first batch.

I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed Harvest Moon last fall when Blue Moon was selling it.

I generally like most beers, as long as it isn't Coors Light, Natural Light, Budweiser, etc.

Oh and I turned 21 last week so I went over to Harry's and picked up a 6 pack of random stuff. The only one I've had so far is Dundee Honey Brown and it was pretty good for a "flavored" beer.

I usually stick to Heineken with meals and just a chill party with the family or a few friends. Bud Light and Bud Lime for parties and drinking games.

Well I have had a lot of good beers over the last month or so and today I had a new one. The New Belgian Brewing Co. is new to the state of GA and just became available this week. I was at work and the beer buyer told me about it and I had to but some. 22oz. bottle was $3.49 and I bought the Mothership Wit and Flat Tire. I also had a bottle of Stone Ruination IPA last night and it's a very hoppy beer. I could still taste it almost an hour after I took the last drink. On the other hand the Mothership Wit had really strong notes of coriander and I could definitely taste it. It's probably not for most, but it will definitely expand your horizons on beer.

I most definitely added too much sugar during the second fermentation stage. I may give it another shot later because I still have all the supplies sitting around.

Just in case you guys were not aware there are two beer festivals going on this Saturday. The East Atlanta Beer Festival and Draft on Taft. I'm going to the EABF simply because they are going to have over 100 different kinds of beer to sample. The cost is $30 and you get a 6oz. glass to sample as much as you want. A word of caution to the lightweights, take it easy and make sure you get some grease in your stomach. Last year we stopped and ate pizza beforehand and I probably had 20-30 different kinds of beer. The weather is going to be great so no excuse for staying in. I may even stop by Draft on Taft since it goes until 10pm.

Here's the site for more info.

Not one person says Icehouse? Its soo much better and costs about the same as Natty Ice, 30 pack for 15 bucks, and they are 5.5% Alcohol. Well thats for getting drunk for sure, and for parties.

Best beer IMO would be either Becks or Heiniken.

I thought I should update on what I've been drinking. There have been some oddballs out there and I had a great limited microbrew that was sent to me from a friend in Portland. We've got Magic Hat Lucky Kat IPA which is a decent beer. Nothing special and definitely not the best IPA I've had. That crown goes to Bridgeport as far as beer that's easy to find. Then I had the Estrella Damn which is a light beer with not too much hops. It's very close to the taste of wheatbeer with a light fruity taste to it. It was definitely better than I thought it was going to be and I preferred it over the Magic Hat. I've got some Hobgoblin waiting next in line that will probbaly hot the glass on Sunday.

    Paulaner Oktoberfest is awesome.

I like La Fin DuMonde "The End of The World", Tres Pistoles, Koenings Quad, Tommy Knocker, Sweetwater Festive Ale(the one week that i can get it cause it sells out evrywhere ahhhh), Terrapin Cream Ale, Newcastle, Dos Equis(both), Negra Modelo(both), Tecate(in the can), usually oktoberfest beers, and if I'm fishing, working in the yard, or playing beer pong I drink "The Beast" which is Milwauke's best because you just cant beat $9.99 for an 18pk.
