If you are feeling a little short on your weekly dose of liberalism, or want a cool place to grab a pitcher, check out Manny's in the highlands. They have great food, cheap beer, what's not to like? A den of characters and locals and liberals and sometimes crazy people. They hosted the political debates back in november and not a single person was a McCain supporter. What do you expect- it's in the Highlands. Staff is friendly. Not a good place to go to pick up women but I hate the club atmosphere anyway. Bring some friends. Unlike most bars, it's not overly loud and you can actually get service in a reasonable amount of time even when it's crowded.

It's on North Highland. I love this place but sadly don't get to go very often since I moved out of the area. Check it out. They also have their own beer on draft and it's very good.

I really don't go to bars to oogle women though. I'll take a bunch of funny ass old people and crazy liberals over a hundred pairs of fake tits and the conceited, makeup encrusted bitches that are leasing them. The club scene is so not my bag. Unless we are talking about Phobia at the Red Door. Then I'm there.
